This was one of the greatest restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting in Germany. It was the place for so many fun memories, and I am saddened that I can no longer visit it. For those that are curious about why I loved this place, please read on and I hope my words can encourage you to try out their amazing Asian food.
I've been to Noir countless times, and it's always been easy to have a table there. Most times, I went in without a reservation, and there were still plenty of seats to choose from. The atmosphere felt calming and touched upon Asian motifs that helped beautify the restaurant, including cherry blossoms and Japanese characters on the walls.
Japanese food is my favorite kind of cuisine, and I did live in Japan for a year back in 2020, so I was always up to try the food served at Noir. Many I already recognized and favored highly, such as the gyoza, miso soup, and yakitori chicken. But, I still tried new things like the crunchy sake sushi roll and osaka balls. I'd have to say my favorite dish was the crispy chicken/duck curry bowl. It was rich in flavor with a bed of white rice, vegetables, and coconut curry. It's hard to compete with such a dish.
The curry bowl was large enough for me, but be mindful that most of the food on the menu are served in very small portions. You may get three pieces of shrimp tempura at most and a small bowl of soup. Sushi can vary, so I wouldn't be concerned about that, but this is the best place to go to when you want to share your food with friends- similar to tapas.
My only gripe would be the drink sizes, as they seem way too small for one person to have. It could be a marketing strategy to get you to order more drinks, but I refused to do that and would have a bottle of water in my purse to get me through the rest of dinner.
The service was good, with several English-speaking waiters. You wouldn't feel out of place if you came here with no German speaking abilities, if anything, you'd curse your stomach for not being large enough to consume more delicious food!
Noir is a restaurant that I will miss dearly. Their items were well-made, service was nice, location is great if you want to leave afterwards for some dessert (there's many dessert places with cake & ice cream nearby), but most of all, it was an inviting space that allowed me to share beautiful moments with my friends. I taught them how to use chopsticks, some Japanese lingo like what they say before they eat (Itatakimasu!), and my personal favorite memory: I got a very picky eater who was strictly against eating Asian food to LOVE sushi.

Read moreNoir Finest Sushi Cuisine is a sleek, modern offering in Wiesbaden. In the heart of a cool place, surrounded by cool things to look at, if you’ve had your fill of hearty German fare and need a break for something lighter, fresher - Noir offers that and makes art of their drinks and their food.
The interior is elegantly lit and a decor based on black with gold accents. It has a calm atmosphere that feels deliberately set for ordering a platter or two and a few drinks and enjoying good conversation.
We were a small family group, but there were lots of date nights happening around us - it is a nice place to bring people you care about if you want the arrival of each drink and plate to be an easy talking point.
We began with drinks that mirrored the menu’s balance of tradition and creativity. They have a good mix of cocktails and fancy non-alcoholic blends.
To start, we got the Spring Rolls and salmon tartar cubes, which were beautifully presented, and the salmon was good quality. We ordered a small platter of sushi - which was great.
While our order was light compared to some of their more extensive sushi offerings, you could tell their menu is well executed. Quality ingredients with good clean and balanced flavours.
The servers were professional and unhurried, giving us space to enjoy the food and our time with family.
If you’re used to fast sushi from a franchise, or mostly eat your sushi from trains or while you’re on trains, this will be a nice change.
If you’re after an elegant evening or simply want your dining companions to have options, this is a great option.

Read moreTL:DR: The food is the highlight of this place. I recommend getting orders for takeaway (to-go). If you want in you'll most likely need a reservation (especially at peek hours). We will be returning, but not dining in.
Cuisine: Japanese/sushi 🍣/curry 🍛 Cleanliness: 4/5 Service: 1/5 Price: $$ (reasonable for fresh quality) They accept Visa/Master cards (Not Amex)
My friends and I had a reservation. We arrive on time and are seated we try to get a server's attention for 45 min to just order. Other people get there a full hour and a half after we get there and they get the check before we do. Every time we need something we have to flag the waiter down and the place is not even...
