A is such a cute place in Wiesbaden with a lot of options for sweets! The variety of ice creams, toppings, and cakes is amazing and there is definitely something there for everyone. The ice cream is self serve so you can pick how much and whatever toppings you could imagine. The flavor didn’t disappoint either! The toppings are on brand with things like Ferrero Nutella and Nutella biscuits and kinder happy hippo. I appreciate their choosing of high quality ingredients. The waffles and crepes are also a MUST order item! They are so generous with the toppings you choose and the flavor of the batter is tasteful as well. The coffee is not bad either! First of all: the place has a nice interior so everything (including the staff) is friendly & inviting. Being there for the first time today, we got a brief introduction how everything works and what options there are to mix. So the first plus is, that they use less sugar for the ice cream (but still keep up a super good taste!) and there are even vegan & lactose free options available. After you took all you favorite flavors of ice cream you can top it of with as much toppings as you want (e. g. fruits, chocolate, oreos, amarettinis etc.) and add one of the fancy sauces like kurkuma/mandarine or more usual ones like caramel, (white) chocolate or strawberry. then just go to the counter, have a lovely chat with the staff and enjoy your ice cream upstairs / outside the gelateria or on your stroll through Wiesbaden. Nach einem ausgiebigen Shopping-Trip in Wiesbaden suchte ich nach einem Ort, um mich kurz zu entspannen und einen Kaffee zu trinken. Dabei fiel meine Wahl auf die Mia Gelateria, die mit ihrer offenen, hellen und freundlichen Einrichtung sofort ins Auge stach.

Ein besonderes Merkmal ist die Selbstbedienungstheke in der Mitte des Raumes, an der man sich seinen Eisbecher individuell zusammenstellen kann. Obwohl ich diese Option nicht genutzt habe, fand ich die Idee sehr ansprechend.

Ich bestellte einen Milchkaffee und einen Panino mit Grillgemüse. Beide waren solide und gut zubereitet. Allerdings hätte ich mir beim Panino etwas mehr Würze gewünscht; er schmeckte leider etwas fad. Zum Glück wurden Salz und Pfeffer zum Panino serviert, sodass man etwas nachhelfen konnte. Persönlich hätte ich mir jedoch eine Pestocreme oder ähnliches als geschmackliche Ergänzung gewünscht.

Lobenswert ist, dass laut Aussage des Personals alles frisch und selbst zubereitet wird. Diesen Eindruck kann ich bestätigen. Insbesondere die selbstgemachten Kuchen sahen sehr verlockend aus, obwohl ich bei meinem Besuch keine Lust auf Süßes hatte.

Die Preise in der Mia Gelateria sind üblich und angemessen. Das Personal war stets aufmerksam und freundlich, und man merkte, dass es sich um einen Familienbetrieb handelt, was dem Ganzen einen gewissen Charme verleiht.

Die Lage der Mia Gelateria ist top, sehr zentral in der Innenstadt. Es gibt reichlich Außenplätze, die im Sommer sicherlich sehr begehrt sind. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Toilettenanlagen Ein persönlicher Kritikpunkt sind die Toilettenanlagen. Zumindest im unteren Bereich, in dem ich mich aufhielt, gibt es jeweils nur eine Toilette für Damen und Herren. Bei meinen zwei Versuchen, die Örtlichkeit aufzusuchen, war sie jeweils besetzt.

Die Mia Gelateria ist ein guter Ort für eine kurze Auszeit während des Shoppens. Das freundliche Personal, die frische Zubereitung der Speisen und die zentrale Lage sind плюсы. Einzig die etwas fade Würzung des Panino und die wenigen Toilettenkabinen trüben den positiven Gesamteindruck etwas.
