DELICIOUS We only stayed in Wiesbaden for one night. Based on the good reviews we decided to have dinner here. Since we never tried Peruvian food before we let the friendly waiter surprise us. He presented us differently kinds of Ceviches with Tuna, Victoria Bass, Octopus and Mussels and fried chicken dumplings. It was really delicious, especially the fresh Ceviches full of flavor! Although we had quite a lot of starters for 2 persons we felt that we had to try some main courses as well. The waiter suggested the Quinotto de Salmon and the veal heart. Although heart is not my favorite I must say it tasted very good just as the Salmon. To finish we had the chocolate cake and fried sweet potato and pumpkin rings. By the way they have a great choice of Peruvian Wines. I choose the Intipalka Syrah... Highly recommended also! Food: 10 Service: 10
Huacas Peru should be higher ranked. I did not try any other restaurant in Wiesbaden but to me it could...
Read moreThe location is excellent – the outdoor seating is wonderfully relaxing, even when the restaurant is full. The downstairs indoor area is also quite unique: cozy, private, and with a special atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food stands out with great flavors and thoughtful presentation. Prices are on the higher side, but the experience makes it worth trying. The wantan were especially good – crispy and generously filled. The tuna with maracuja sauce was a bit too sour for my taste, as the sauce seemed to be pure maracuja. A better balance might be achieved by combining the tuna, mashed carrot, and salad in one bite. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, though the portion was relatively small for the price – still understandable given the quality. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sauce had a strong, smoky aroma that was very appealing – rich in flavor without being...
Read moreI have visited this restaurant twice in the last month and I am absolutely baffled, that many people still don't know it. The cuisine took me right back to my native South American roots and is a beautiful and elevated representation of Peruvian food. The Pisco sour is hands down the best I have ever had. The causas were cause for much happiness, especially since there is a tasting platter with smaller versions of them. The ceviche was as delicious as expected. The Tuna in passion fruit sauce is amazing. I did not have a single disappointing dish. The bar tender (whom I suspect to be the owner) is very friendly and showed real passion and knowledge about Peruvian food and drinks. I will admit the service is a bit slow, but the overall experience is so enjoyable, I cannot in good conscience rate any lower than 5 stars. I advise you make a reservation and don't skip the pisco sour!...
