This was a split experience. The food was generally very decent, but some things felt like highway robbery, for example the cheese naan bread at €4.5. It was very hard to distinguish from the normal version at more than twice the price. And in honesty both versions were disappointing and overpriced. (*After reviewing some pictures in other reviews, we were just basically cheated by staff at the end of the day, Now a 2 star experience.)
The restaurant itself is very pleasant but the staff was super disinterested and not much help. A glass of red wine was served with lots of setiments and staff defended this by saying that it's how all wines are. The glass should never have been served but after much arguing the glass was taken off the bill. All in all a quite disappointing experience and the high ratings are a bit of a mystery. ** Edit 2, after the rather sarcastic answer from the restaurant: Yes, we finished the food because we were hungry and it was late, and then when naan bread is small and disappointing it's still part of what we ordered. We also paid for it, except the red wine that was taken off the bill. The red wine sediments were only noticed at the end of the meal and that was exactly when we talked to staff as they walked past and asked if everything was ok. They then argued for a long time that sediments are common in Chianti (we ordered Primitivo) and in all red wines after which they then they fetched two almost empty bottles to show us how sediments always get in the glass when you shake the bottle and pour the last parts into the glass. I inquired about the cheese naan bread as we received it, but were boldly told "that's what it is". The tandoori dishes and rice were nice, the paneer & salad were ok, the naan breads way overpriced. The mango lassi was "too sweet" (quote my daughter, who always orders this) and served with a weird red syrup in it. *Edit 3: And sadly we weren't lucky enough to have poppadoms or other snacks mentioned in reviews, but that is not part...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, with beautiful Indian decor that set the tone for the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations.
We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was a masterpiece of flavors. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, with the perfect balance of spices, while the biryani was aromatic and cooked to perfection. The garlic naan was soft and fluffy, ideal for scooping up every delicious bite.
What truly stood out was the authenticity and quality of the food—it felt like a celebration of Indian cuisine. The desserts, especially the gulab jamun, were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
