Brotmanufaktur "Das Brot." — Restaurant in Wolfsburg

I travelled from very far and I was very excited to try some authentic bread at the bakery Brotmanufaktur "Das Brot." On entering the premises, I was served by an absolutely fed up, miserable and frustrated lady called Miss D. Jentsch. I asked her a question about some bread and she replied to me with such a bored, angry and sad face, I was absolutely shocked!! No smile or a lovely welcome from her even being in an international well known bakery, I felt intimidated... Then, to make things worst, my 3 year old son that was with other children, screamed for half a second and Miss D. Jentsch looked up and walked over to me screaming in my face in such a horrendous way telling me to let the child be quiet. I politely apologized but her behaviour was not acceptable and her attitude and the way she told me this, wanted to make me vomit the lovely delicious bread that I had just eaten... I find these type of people to be so unsuitable for their jobs. To be honest they should just leave and make space to so many happy bright people that welcome you with a warm smile and want to make you return to the bakery. Unfortunately I will only return to this place once Miss D. Jentsch has left as I absolutely do not recommend it right now to anyone! I felt upset and disappointed for her treatment and to be honest I was disgusted by her attitude towards me for absolutely no reason. The bread here is truly exceptional👌 you have to try it to believe it! There’s no need for further explanation; one taste is all it takes to understand how fantastic it is. The quality of the bread and the friendly service make every visit a pleasure.

I always go back for the bread here, it’s that good! Whether you’re looking for a simple loaf to enjoy at home or something special for a gathering, this place has you covered.

As for the location, whether it’s summer or winter, it’s always beautiful. You can enjoy the outdoor view in the warmer months or cozy up inside when it’s cold and rainy. The atmosphere is lovely no matter the season.

Normalerweise würde ich 5 Sterne geben. Alles frisch und lecker. Dachte ich! Letzte Woche habe ich Aufstriche gekauft, sie waren als Mitbringsel/Geschenk gedacht. Die Gastgeber haben sich sehr darüber gefreut und wie peinlich war es für uns, dass der Humusaufstrich verdorben war. Leider habe ich beim Kauf nicht auf das Verfallsdatum geschaut, sollte man dringlichst schon beim Kauf tun. Ein Aufstrich war bereits abgelaufen und der andere hatte nur noch 1 Tag. Reklamieren konnte ich es leider nicht mehr, da ich den Kassenzettel nicht mitgenommen habe. Ich finde es jedenfalls sehr traurig, dass man Produkte, die schon nicht preiswert sind, auch noch abgelaufen in der Theke stehen hat. Es scheint auch kein Einzelfall zu sein, da eine Dame vor mir ihren letzten Brotkauf bemängelte. Liebes Brot-Team, verkauft doch bitte diese Produkte einfach günstiger wenn sie vor dem Ablaufdatum sind und überlasst es euren Kunden, ob sie diese kaufen möchten. Man muss nicht immer gleich alles wegwerfen, aber Brot vom Vortag oder Produkte kurz vor dem Ablauf sollten Sie bitte Kennzeichen und nicht hierfür den vollen Preis verlangen. In Zukunft werde ich mir jedenfalls alles genau anschauen und das ist traurig und sollte einfach nicht sein....
