805 Cocktail Bar and Restaurant - Osu — Restaurant in Accra

First of all I love your environment and setting

It was my first time using the osu branch of 805 restaurant for my Guests and I must say it was my worst experience at a restaurant in 2023. So on the 28th December I had to do Accra city tour with my guests and that day being day 1 of Afrofuture, I’d managed to finish all activities on time and had gotten to 805 at 12:37, settled down at 12:50, drinks ordered and followed by food orders. Drinks arrived on time, now this is the shocker, the waitress assigned to our table was serving others who had just arrived ( NB : when we arrived no group or guest was at their premises) I then walked to her to inquire about the meals ordered because even appetizers hadn’t arrived and OMG it was already clocking 2pm . Guys to cut long story short the meals started coming at 3:20pm . What triggered my anger was how unprofessional one supervisor or waiter was claiming them not to be blamed and always telling lies that food was almost done. All this while their Manager was nowhere to be found, I personally requested to meet him but the supervisor never called him.

I had to personally help the waitress use a fast and much easier method to get everyone’s individual bill for them as out of frustration the waitress adding everything earlier.

805!!! Employ more chefs and cooks, expand your kitchen and get more professional staff. You have competitors closer to you like Buka Restaurant who are doing excellently great, please learn from them. It’s no offense

I made it clear to them I’m not patronizing their services again and I meant it, unless maybe I’m being sent there on someone’s account.

And ohh I forgot to add this, I One of the waiters got into a heated argument with a different group that arrived an hour after we came in and had waited on the spring rolls as an appetizer for about 2hours.

Btw in all we were delayed for 3 hours and some minutes with no sorry said. Shame on You for being unprofessional and...

I stopped by this restaurant on 10/29/25 around 3pm. I had very high hopes because my wife got the recommendation from a friend. I checked out the menu with a lot of local dishes. I went for ampesie and grounded kontomire with kobi. The yam looks like a dehydrated yam with the bad sides chopped off the little good sides boiled. ( I eat better yam in Minnesota than what I was served) The three plantain pieces seemed to have been boiled a while ago. It was hard. The kontomire I can bet it’s not kontonmire but rather spinach. I ordered kelewole to go and asked that the make it at the end of my meal. Remember all these were ordered at the beginning. Well, the kelewele was even ready and packed before my meal was ready. I took it home anyway. Men, who ever made this kelewele should stop calling it kelewele because it taste nothing like it. It likes fried ripped plantains with crashed pepper sprinkled on it. I have never been disappointed in a Ghanaian restaurant. My wife had jollof rice and she said it was okay...

Actually somewhere last year after I took my husband from the airport he wanted a good and quite place he can go to eat some Nigerian dishes so I took him at 805 Osu so we were welcome by a waitress called Dorcas she introduced the environment to us and we decided to use the inside restaurant later we saw customers walking of which made him uncomfortable she suggested a different space for us honestly my husband doesn’t give credit like that but that day he did he customer service was 90% and the cocktails came on time and was served by the bartender Ansa according to him the waitress was waiting to collect our food honestly his appearance , talk and smile was good the waitress brought our food and it was great to me I will say the environment is 100% neat , food was great and customers service was okay I wish you all will go there and experience yours as well …after that day we always visit...
