Regal Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Accra

This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Accra if not my favourite. They've got great customer service and I've personally met the owners who are really nice people. As an HR Executive I think there is something good they're doing in that department cus I've seen same staff members(waiters) working there over the years I've been visiting which is over 6 years... Now below is what a friend had to say about Regal and I couldn't agree less... 'Chinese take out!!! This place for generations has been the go to place for any kind of celebration. A long standing tradition I guess will only when they go out of Tradition. Regal Chinese restaurant as been here for over 25years with great food to keep our palates dancing. Although recently the standard seems to be falling, it's still the best chinese around for me. There is no golden fried shrimp like theirs! In fact the only vegetable (hate veg) spring roll I thoroughly enjoy and crave for is from them! I am happy about their delivery services recently! Order and in less than 30mins your food will be ready. My only problem with this place is their AMBIANCE chale! Same as when my grandpa used to take me there when I was like 5! Chale! Disappointing. I called ahead to ask if a particular dish would be available that day. I was informed that it was. Upon arriving, I was told they did not have it.

Nevertheless, I went ahead and ordered the sliced fish in Chinese wine sauce, sliced lamb in brown chilli sauce, and some steamed dumplings.

I won't comment on the Chinese wine sauce, as it was my first time having it, so there is nothing to compare it to.

The dumplings and lamb, however, were not the best I have had. They were both lacking in flavour.

Overall, not the best experience. I do not think I will be returning. To add to everything, their prices seemed considerably higher than the industry standard, which isn't a problem so long as you can make it worthwhile,...

Second time is a charm they say. However the food fell short within a span of one week. I ordered the special fried rice, assorted noodles and shrimp fried rice. The first time both the special fried rice and special noodles were great. Shrimp fried rice lacked flavor. The second time I omitted the shrimp friend rice .however both the noodles and special fried rice was just ok.
