Bistro 22 — Restaurant in Accra

Make sure to go over your bill before you pay. They will rip you off and cover up with a flimsy excuse. We saw later that they had charged us for shrimp skewer that we did not order and when I called, they gave an ‘’error’’ excuse. They told us it will cost Gh18 extra to have shrimp with the pesto pasta instead of Gh12 extra for pesto with chicken so we order 2 chicken pesto and 1 shrimp pesto. We saw later that they had charged Gh18 and additional Gh43 for shrimp skewers. We thought they made a mistake because we didn’t order shrimp skewers but to our surprise the manager said it was an error and that they use shrimp skewers for pesto pasta so they will refund the gh18 but not gh43. So how is one supposed to know which shrimp is use for which dish without telling us to agree to order at gh43 instead of the initial gh18 quoted. The shrimp came mixed in, where by the chicken was laid on top of the pasta so if they did use shrimp skewers, why wasn’t that laid on top like the chicken even though the chicken was cut but was not mixed into the pasta but the shrimp that’s supposed to be on a skewer was mixed in. What’s the point of using shrimp skewer if you are going to take it out of the skewer and mix into the pasta? They should have simply honour the price they quoted instead of charging us for the wrong item and then double charging on top of it. If the shrimp had come on a skewer, that would have even justified his excuse but it didn’t and how was I supposed to tell if that was even the case. The manager by the name Glory said they will refund gh18 because that’s the error so I told him to keep the gh18 if they are not going to refund the gh43 because I didn’t agree on Gh43, I agreed to order based on the gh18 and that’s what they should charge not gh43. The receipt even stated it as ‘‘with shrimp Gh18’’. Looks like they need money more than anything. They shamefully kept the gh18 and Gh43 and didn’t even bother to do...

Had a small, intimate dinner for three to send off a close friend to school abroad and I'm glad I chose this space because he absolutely loved it--we all did!

First of all, ignore it's unassuming exterior because everything that matters is inside. The interior decor itself is very minimalist and yet screams class, but the real winner is the service and the food!

All the staff were soo attentive and would swoop by ever so often without being intrusive to see if we needed anything. We arrived before just 5pm on a Tuesday and there weren't many diners there but the empty chairs became fewer and fewer as the clock ticked. We were very hungry so we ordered starters and drinks almost as soon as we were seated and we were served so fast, we almost couldn't believe it.

The Fried Calamari was so good but those Shrimp Skewers were literally everything!! They tasted so good.. so, so good! For drinks, we got a Summer Breeze, Mojito and Virgin Fruit which were also great! Later, our entrees were the Rosemary Chicken and Grilled Prawns with a side of extremely creamy Mashed Potatoes. We skipped dessert because we quite simply were stuffed. If you don't get anything at all from our choices, please get the Shrimp Skewers if you like seafood.. they'll melt in your mouth and have you smiling nonstop!!

We'll definitely be going back in the very near future. This could easily be that reliable go-to restaurant to get a delicious meat over nice conversation in a beautiful space while feeling spoilt and taken care of. I hope they never lower the bar on their level of service because we...

We went to Bistro 22 upon the reviews we read online, and we would go again. The food was excellent and well worth the price you pay, which we felt was reasonable. The ingredients were wholesome and full of flavour. Great selection. The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated, beautiful inside and out. However, not the place to go if you want to have a conversation with somebody. It was impossible to hear the person sitting across from me. The noise bounces around the room and you can hear everyone's conversations, especially loud people as was the case of the foreign woman sitting near us who would not stop talking in an exaggeratedly loud voice. You could sit outside, which looked lovely, but it's for people who smoke. Our main disappointment was in the service. We were greeted nicely, the door was opened for us on both our arrival and departure. Our waiter however paid us no attention. We had to call him over to get our drink order and after a while of waiting to place our food order he was across the room leaning against the wall! It was impossible to get his attention! We caught the attention of another waiter who took our order and confirmed that the waiter hanging by the wall was in fact our waiter. He ignored us ALL evening. We kept asking other waiters to clear or plates, get our food, and finally the bill. It was ridiculous. The other waiters were friendly and helpful, ours however was not.
