My recent visit to Le Pavillon restaurant, a charming dining spot nestled in Labone, Accra, was an experience filled with a variety of culinary reactions for myself and my 11 colleagues from work. From exemplary service to some menu highlights and misses, our time there was certainly eventful.
One standout aspect of our visit was the consistently excellent service. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were greeted warmly and promptly seated. The efficiency with which our orders were taken and the prompt arrival of our dishes impressed us, allowing us to fully enjoy each other's company without any hiccups.
We indulged in several dishes from the menu. The Steak Spaghetti was quite delicious, however it was not very spicy. The Fettuccine Alfredo left us wanting for more with its creamy texture and rich taste.
However, not every dish lived up to our expectations. The Wagyu Steak and Mashed Potatoes failed to impress, lacking the anticipated flavor profile despite promises of a special sauce. Similarly, the Salmon with White Sauce left much to be desired, with the sauce being overly lemony and the salmon itself tasting rather bland. We also had the khebab platter and fries which was good, but yet again the flavor is mild.
Additionally, the Lemonade Mint Frozen was a letdown, failing to satisfy our palates. My own disappointment came with the seafood pasta, where "seafood" translated to just four measly pieces of shrimp alongside some bacon and mussels. However, upon voicing my concerns to the manager, I was pleased with their swift response and willingness to rectify the situation, a testament to the restaurant's dedication to customer satisfaction. My plate returned from the kitchen with additional shrimp added to my pasta, which was appreciated.
Moreover, we thoroughly enjoyed the prawns, which were flavorful, however, the accompanying side of jollof rice failed to meet our expectations. On the otherhand, the half-grilled chicken emerged as a clear winner amongst us. Likewise, the fried rice was good earning nods of approval from our group. Also, the mixed grill proved to be a delightful choice which provided a satisfying medley of flavors.
On a brighter note, the non-alcoholic Blue Ice cocktail proved to be a refreshing and enjoyable choice. As for beverages, the Milkshake Strawberry. the Strawberry Daiquiri and the Sex on the beach were favorites.
Overall, our dining experience at Le Pavillon restaurant left us with a lasting impression. While not every dish hit the mark, the exceptional service and the standout offerings on the menu more than made up for any shortcomings. With that said, I would rate our experience an 8 out of 10 and recommend it to...
Read moreLe Pavillon Restaurant exceeded my expectations so much that I ended up visiting 3 times during my stay in Accra. I give it top marks!
**Ambience and Decor: The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of a modern 3 storey building on quiet street in Labone. Inside, the design of the bar is eye catching, bright and elegant. The contemporary furniture is super comfortable and classy. The terrace area is large with ample seating options from tables for couples to groups. Great quality shisha available. Comfort has been prioritised. Top marks!
**Staff: Very attentive and well trained, from the front desk to the runners, bar staff, waiters and waitresses and the shisha waiters. They always go over and above for customers. Top marks!
**Drinks: If you sit at the bar then you are in for a treat because you get to see the drinks being prepared. Beers served super chilled in freezer cold glasses. Colourful cocktails.
** Food: The highlight. Authentic lebanese cuisine!! (I have been to Lebanon before) Try the Raheb, the Baba Ganoush (the smokey flavour is what makes it so real. It's grilled on charcoal). Try the lamb chops, yummy. The Fattoush is one the best I have had. Food size is generous in general. As for dessert, I have a winner: the Biscuit au Chocolat. One word: wow! Every mouthful: wow!
So it's not that we have been to this place for 1st time.. me n my frnds keep visiting this restaurant. This is abt the recent incident we faced. Total discrimination with indian ppl I would say. INCIDENT: we were a group of 10 ladies. We planned to visit this place in afternoon specifically as not many ppl are around and we can talk and have little fun. But it was a disastrous idea. The moment we entered there manager started telling us to low with our volume weras we dint even start talking yet. Then they took our order for food. Generally they offer nice food but to our surprise food was terrible tasteless smelly and cold. So at the end manager just hopped in and started shouting on my frnds. According to him ppl were complaining there were no ppl in the outside area. Secondly if there restaurant had such high standards they should print it in bold letters and put on there gate if they want to be classy. I have many many vdos in which ppl are dancing loud music but later we get to know these rules are not for them it's for us being Indians. It is not possible to give detailed scenario over this. But in short it was Terrible experience and can't imagine ppl...
