Mamma Mia Pizzeria - East Legon — Restaurant in Accra

My boyfriend and I came here during the week on a Wednesday. There was only one other table of 2 people. Prior to ordering, we asked, and the waitress stated that the pizza would only take 10-15 minutes to make. This was important as we were in a hurry. We ordered a pineapple juice, water and one cheese pizza. After 30 minutes, my boyfriend asked if we could please receive our drinks. The waitress then brought them over. We sat and waited while the other table ate their pizza and had no updates. Following an hour of waiting (with no further check in from staff) we saw the chef making our pizza. To this day, I have no clue what he could have been doing to delay making our pizza for 50 minutes with no other food being ordered. Staff was standing idle with no sense of urgency. We paid for the drinks and left. Only when we were preparing to leave did staff show any sense of urgency. The pizza at this place could be amazing, but due to lack of staff training (or lack of execution on said training), many will never know. We surely will...

We love having such good pizza right around the corner for an easy dinner out. The thin crust pizza is so good. Peter, the owner, is lively and welcoming, service is great and food comes out very quickly. The pizza is fresh, you can watch them make it and the ingredients are fresh (basil from the planters out front on the margarita pizza!). It’s a casual atmosphere, very family friendly. We ordered a beef pizza for a guest in our home. We received a beef, pepperoni, chicken and ham pizza. Our guest could not eat it for religious reasons. When we called to report that the pizza was incorrect, we were told that it was our fault. Instead of offering to correct the issue, we were told we could order again. The woman was incredibly rude and this business will receive no further business from me.
