My Sister googled lounges for us to dine at for our last night in Ghana and this place came up. We looked over the menu and decided to try this place.
Reservations are made from the site and it was very easy.
We took Uber over from Obokobi.
Atmosphere: bright and nicely decorated. They have a few areas for photo ops that are cool!
Service: We were greeted nicely. Derrick who's the gentleman greeted us and was nice enough to take our pics at their area that has a cool swing with the lounge's name and lights. He did a great job!!!! Our unofficial photographer! Derrick was very tentative, helpful and accommodating.
We sat in a cabana which was very spacious. They have fans in every cabana. Their bathroom was nice and clean.
Bridget was our waitress and she was awesome!!!!!! I mean her level of service was on point. She kept her eye on us and whenever I looked up, she was there. We really really loved their level of service. 10+/10.
Drinks: I had a cognac drink that was good and we also had the rum with me cocktail which was our favorite!!! Soooo delicious!!! 10+/10
Food: We started with a greek salad which was very delicious!!!! Keleweleh (not sure if I spelled it right) was disappointing; It needed to be more crispy and seasoned like the street food version.
My Sister ordered another greek salad had the beef stroganoff with mash potatoes. She said the beef was tough but she liked the sauce.
I had the lamb chop with vegetables and mashed potatoes. My lamb was not bad. It could have used more flavor and leas fat. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes. The vegetables were cooked just right! I took away my food and more mashed potatoes and it was good the next day.
Fridays is the it day here we were told. They have karaoke and shisha.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. Their slogan Pera Lounge the place to be is spot on!!! Get there. This will be our go to spot every time we're in Ghana. I hope you have a...
Read moreA friend shared a very disappointing experience at this restaurant during what was supposed to be a special birthday outing for her mother.
Unfortunately, the day was marred by poor service and delays that are unacceptable for any establishment claiming to provide quality dining experiences.
Upon arrival, they waited 30 minutes just to place their order. After that, it took over two hours for the food to arrive, and when it did, the first order was not complete. To make matters worse, different waiters were trying to attend to them with same excuses, adding to the frustration.
Here was their order:
3 Pineapple Drinks 2 Strawberry Daiquiris 2 Jollof Rice 2 Spicy Chicken Wings 3 Assorted Jollof Rice 2 Turkish Chicken Kebabs
Shockingly, while they waited endlessly, other people were being served the same Jollof. Due to delays and frustration, they requested to pack the food which also delayed. The waiter spent 30 minutes doing that. Even with the packed food, they omitted sauce and coleslaw initially.
For an establishment that many trust for memorable experiences, this was a complete letdown. Delays, wrong orders, and poor customer service are simply unacceptable. If this level of service persists, it risks tarnishing the restaurant’s reputation...
Read moreThe food was ok and the place itself has a cool atmosphere. However, I had a disappointing experience. I had ordered drink “Ayran” with food. The waiter asked me if I wanted garlic, and I thought he was referring to the food, so I said “a little.” But it turned out he meant the Ayran, and it was served with garlic in it.
When I realized the misunderstanding, I politely asked if it could be changed for a regular Ayran without garlic. The waiter went to ask the chef, but came back and said unfortunately it could not be changed. This was surprising and disappointing, because Ayran is a very simple and cheap drink and preparing another one without garlic would not have been difficult.
For customer satisfaction, such a small gesture would have gone a long way. Replacing one simple Ayran should not be too much to ask, and refusing to do so left a...
