Favela — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

Kudos to the owner of Favela restaurant. We ordered a BBQ pizza and some piroski dips. When we finished and asked for the bill they wanted to know our opinion about the food. We answered that it was good but pizza, which was our main dish,was too crispy and dry than it should be. Piroski were very tasty though. Then the owner came back to us and informed us that the meal was on the house and that he wants customers to be happy and leave with a good opinion about the restaurant. Even though we insisted on paying cause we had already eaten the food he wouldn't accept. That policy implies good values and ethics and it's much appreciated. On top of the cliff overlooking Patitiri Harbour. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to look after you. The food is delicious but very filling. A range of cocktails, beers, spirits and wine. Very colourful decor with painted tables. It even has a pink piano. The menu is a mix of Mexican and Korean, not really sure how they fit into together but it seems to work. Moderately priced. The Paloma Cocktail was spot on. Complimentary drinks when you have finished include Limoncello, Cinnamon Spirit and a traditional Greek liquor. Favela really lives up to its name as a funky, feel-good spot — the atmosphere is buzzing, the décor is playful, and the cocktails are absolutely on point (one of the best I’ve had in a while). Service matched the vibe: friendly and smooth. The only reason it’s a 4 instead of a 5 is the food — plenty of vegan options, which is great, but most of them felt like they were missing a little something.
