Ostria Restaurant — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

Best restaurant in Alonnisos! We usually try different restaurants every day, but once we discovered Ostria we ate there for 3 days in row. We had grilled fish, pork tenderloin with plumb sauce, gyros and spaghetti with shrimps. Everything was so exquisite! The restaurant is run by Victor and his wife and you can see that they are putting so much passion in the food they are cooking and serving. It is a top class restaurant with very good prices. The price/quality ratio is definitely in the customer’s advantage.

The gyros was the best gyros we had in Greece with a special twist ( the avocado sauce).

So very disappointed. After reading the reviews we were excited to go to this harbour restaurant. The experience started well with them giving us a good table but it went downhill from there. 15 to 20 minutes before they took our drinks order. They brought the wine (very average for Greece) and forgot our water, even after 3 reminders. Mussels were poor - a mix of cold and lukewarm with many empty shells, but no napkins or wet towels were offered until I asked for them. I was recommended this restaurant from a local and I am so grateful. Viktor was lovely and made an effort to make me feel comfortable, spending time to chat with me. The food was absolutely incredible, easily some of the nicest food I've had. As a rule, I try not to revisit restaurants when travelling... But I couldn't resist the charm of Ostria.
