ΑΣΤΙΚΟ — Restaurant in Athens

Went for brunch because it was near our airbnb and had good reviews. Plus, the place just looked cool as we have been passing by it.

We ordered an omelete, savory traditional Greek pancake, cheesecake, 2 americanos, 2 freddo espresso, and a 200ml tsipoura for brunch. We paid $36 euros. We sat at the window and watched ppl pass through the farmers market.

As the area is mostly residential and most locals don't speak English, the staff spoke enough English where it was comfortable here. The male staff spoke the most English. That's how we were able to figure out the tispoura. It was 200ml for $8 euro. I personally prefer raki from Crete, but it has been very hard to find in Athens.

The food was pretty good, but the service and environment were the best.

As we were leaving, the male staff gave us a mini bottle a piece of the tispoura on the house and said, "Welcome to Greece."

Clean, easy bathroom. It's in the painted wall.

Americanos were decent/good.

If you are looking for a well rounded place for brunch, this is your place. The food/beverage were not the "best in Athens" but if you are a English speaking tourist, this place is like a customer service oasis...

Wonderful place with a great greek expirience. The owners are very kind and friendly, they give us a welcome with a traditional greek candy in a spoon. We totally fall in love. For breakfast we take two 100% organic orange and fruit juice, and two pancakes: the salad one, my friend, and for a classical sweet one but instead the marple siroup was replaced with honey.... A hidden gem in Neos Kosmos. Excellent coffee with free tap water deeping on it vanilla (something that those years is very rare to find). Amazing food and particularly the sandwiches of Mr Achilleas... omg just leave him to create at his kitchen.
