Το Πικάντικο — Restaurant in Athens

My friends and me spent four nights in athens and stayed in a hostel nearby. The Host recommended us this place and on the first night we came here for a quick dinner. What we got blew us away and we came back every single night of our stay. The staff was very nice and our takeaway Pitas were done in no time. The atmosphere was very friendly as the staff recognised us the third night. Two of us (me included) got the pork gyros wrapped and the other to got the Halloumi wrapped. And all of us thought it was very delicious. As four teens from Germany which has some of the best Döner Kebab places in the world, we can unanimously assure you that this Pita Gyros beats Döner Kebab. I don't care at all if your food is bad or excellent cheep or expensive. these are clearly criticized here. because you don't respect anyone outside. your delivery motorcycles are always parking wherever they like in the middle of the road as well as your take away costumers. in the middle of a road which has a separate traffic light to turn right. you are everyday causing a traffic chaos whete buses (!) very often are waiting for your deliveries and your costumers tk get back in their vehicles and clear the road. yes! with your responsibility! but if your outside attitude is this, I am convinced your food is similar. you follow the classic rule which is: if you like to know what you will be served, visit a restaurant's toilet first.. what you see is...

Dont' get the pork kalamaki/souvlaki!! The yiros' are good although when I asked to get tzatziki instead of "sos" they obliged but gave a very small amount. I understand its more expensive so give me the option of paying for more!! overall good though.

The real disappointment was the pork souvlaki the next day. (souvlaki or kalamaki being the cubes/pieces of pork/chicken, not the yiros style 'shredded' meat. Pork had way too much fat. maybe 4-5 pieces of the 6 were really really fatty they were not edible.

The lady who collected my plated ask how it was and I told her. No comment. The funniest is when I told the 4-5 guys as I was leaving it was too fatty they all stared at me and said nothing.
