Alice Cakewitch Πετράλωνα — Restaurant in Athens

Entering this cakery is like going down Alice's rabbit hole. An amazing and fairy-tale-like place, with great cakes and cupcakes and delicious teas. The decor seems to be taken out of a Hollywood movie set, the cakes are actual cakes - not the standard Greek-type "tourta"- and the teas are specialty blends you will not find anywhere else in Athens. The place is spotlessly clean and peaceful enough to have a quiet chat with your friends and loved ones. There are plenty of quaint little tables indoors and some outdoors. The only shortcoming would be that the loo is upstairs so people with mobility problems will not have easy...

Awesome place, near the station "petralona", approximately a 5 minute walk. Great interior design, based on Alice in Wonderland with all the mad hatter, red queen etc stuff included!! Warm and cozy place, suitable for conversation and reading. The sweets were superb, great taste and big portions. We chose pancakes which were delicious and we will definitely pay some more visits to taste the other sweets (and of course the salty plates). The place was beautifully decorated for Xmas, with Xmas songs playing in the background. The service was very friendly, they showed us all the cakes and what the flavours were. We ordered two cappuccinos and two cupcakes. One red velvet with blueberries and one chocolate. Both were very tasty. The coffee was good as well. Though the cupcakes were not too expensive, other stuff on the menu were a bit pricier. Wish I got to try their tea since the presentation...
