I recently visited a charming little cat cafe in Athens, and I can't recommend it enough! This place is a true haven for cat lovers and a testament to the wonderful work of a local charity dedicated to caring for the street cats of Athens. The moment you step inside, you can feel the love and care that has gone into creating a warm and welcoming environment, not just for visitors but also for the adorable feline residents. The cats are incredibly friendly, calm, and clearly well-cared for, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. It was heartwarming to see how happy and healthy they are, thanks to the diligent efforts of the staff and volunteers. Whether you're a lifelong cat enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, this cafe is a must-visit.And let’s not forget the coffee and cake—absolutely delicious! The cafe offers a delightful selection of treats that perfectly complement the soothing company of the cats. It’s the perfect place to unwind, sip on a warm beverage, and enjoy the calming presence of these lovely animals. If you’re in Athens, I highly encourage you to visit and support this wonderful charity. Read moreA beautiful cat cafe that give shelter to cats while make a lovely experience to humans. The cats their are adorable and treated like royalty, a truly cat heaven, they have plenty of games and shelf to climb on, and full food bowls to satisfy their belly. When we arrive they gave us a small explanation on the cafe, told us they already found a home for over 60 cats which allow them to help to more cats. From their menu we took mostly drinks since they didn't had many vegan options. We took the orange choco with oatmeal which was delicious and was served so cute with lil' paw decoration, the Alfredo cappuccino and the homemade strawberry lemonade (another great drink). For dessert we took their vegan brownie. One of the cats really luv our choices and kept trying to sneak a bite 😂 In the cafe we met plenty of cats, adorable 5 old months black kitty that was extremely friendly, lots of white and black cats and another 3 old months kitty that was sweet as candy and kept talking and purring as you pet her. You can also buy items from their store and some of the profit go for animals well fair. Another big plus is that all their cats come from the animal shelter and not from breeders and are up...
Read moreI really liked the experience. I’ve been to a cat cafe before, not in Athens but other place, but this one was better.
Just so you know : the minimum order per person is 7 euros, which means a drink and something sweet, as they say. I’ve had a lemon tart but tbh my boyfriend’s praline muffin was better. The cakes are very sweet, not fresh as they aren’t made there, but they do the work I guess. We’ve had coffee, but if I didn’t have a cake I would have tried the hot chocolate - it has a very cute decor with a cocoa powder paw on it!
The cats : a bit bored you can imagine. They hear “pspsps” all day long. But, I like the fact that people don’t force them to sit or stay with them - they just sit wherever they want.
I’ve had a cat come to me, but when she was bored, I let her go. The place is very nice decorated, also from what I understood - you can adopt the cats, which is amazing.
In my opinion, the terrace is better than sitting inside, that’s where all the cats stay in general.
They have a shop inside, next to the bar, I got a postcard for 1 euro.
Overall, worth it. Not an activity you would do every single day - but definitely to...
