The best local bar experience in Athens. We came to this small and charming bar because it was around the block from where we were staying and because we had seen some high reviews. It's a neighborhood joint with a few regulars who come in every night sometimes to watch the local sports game or just to hang out. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Christos, the owner, is beyond cool. He is a world traveler with great taste in music, especially classic American rock. We came back to the bar more than once during our trip for the relaxed local vibe and to hear the amazing stories of Christos life before he opened the bar. They have a wide selection of drinks, and are located in nice and quiet(er) spot of athens. When we sat down, we immediately were given a large bottle of water, and with our drinks we were surprised with a small plate of chips (crisps). I was pleasantly surprised when neither one of those appeared on the bill. Especially when the other drinks were priced very normal, cheap for the center of a mayor city like athens. Amazing staff, very cool owner, awesome music, classic blues, rocks and all the things that make this spot worth checking out. Why walk the same path everyone does in Thisio, when you can experience true Athens culture, it's people.
