Psipsina Art Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Athens

What an absolute disappointment! I had a great night with, I think, Yannis and his partner my first night. Came back the following night and had the most disappointing night with a different barman and his gf, who clearly didn't want to be there.

The service was terrible, I had to actively flag the guy down who was so wrapped up with his gf to care about customers. At one point I had to get up and walk a meter down the bar just so he'd look up.

The bar says it closes at 2 but even before 1 this guy is closing up and tells me rudely "now" when I asked about closing... He forgot to mention the "no card" rule either. When I got back from having to go to the ATM he was nowhere to be found so I dumped the cash on the side.. this went from a personal cute and engaging bar experience to being uninteresting, impersonal, rude, uncaring and unengaging. What a disappointment!

My advice, keep walking, Psiri is full of bars and friendlier folk :) the barman had zero care about anything other than him and his gf, clearly didn't want to be there and was pretty rude.

As an aside, if you don't smoke, avoid this place. They smoke inside and at the bar..When cold they close the doors and you are engulfed in the chain smoke from both customers...

We were super tired because we had flown in to Athens from Madrid. It was late so we weren't sure if any bars were open but we came across this lovely bar with the coolest staff!

The bar has such a fun vibe to it! There's seating inside and outside. We sat at the bar and got to hang out with Stavriana who is the sweetest bartender and made us really great drinks! You can definitely tell that this place is a local favorite as well!

The tiki thang cocktail was our favorite because it was super refreshing. My boyfriend also tried Jorge's yummy which he loved and it was made by Jorge himself!!

If I ever come back to Athens I will definitely be stopping...

Little gem. Visited a few times while staying in Monastiraki. The menu on view is basic but you can order whatever variations you fancy and they'll rustle it up. Food is freshly cooked and tastes divine. I ordered greek yoghurt and nuts for breakfast they had no nuts and offered fruit instead... it was awesome!! Definitely the nicest yoghurt I've ever tasted, smothered in local honey. The staff are so friendly, really chill laid back ambience while attentive. One place you'll go back to again and again. Loved the canine company of one of the staff...
