My wife is a Greek Australian so we’re accustomed to authentic home cooked Greek food or non-touristy Greek restaurants. We generally found the restaurants in Greece on our three week holiday in Athens and a couple of islands, to generally have the same touristy menu items, a lot of the quick cook or prep variety. It’s fine but gets old quickly. The three of us went for dinner on a Monday night and there were more ppl there than you'd expect for start of the week. This restaurant was a breath of fresh air, both in ambience and taste. It feels more like you’re been invited to someone’s (rustic) home for a home cooked dinner rather than in a restaurant. All of the food we ordered was tasty and it’s economical. I recommend the experience. Check out my video of the owner showing us in the kitchen the items available that night, and also the...

Wow! What an experience!

It does not look like a restaurant from the outside, nor does it feel like you are eating at a restaurant while you're there... It feels like you are in their home and they care for you as if you were. The host walked us through the kitchen to show us what items they had cooking and explained what was in each dish (some good vegetarian options). Admittedly, the food and whole set-up can feel off putting if you are not used to it, but the pay-off once the food reaches your table is so worth it. The hosts were patient with us and spoke impressive English. Our family walked right by this place without realizing, but I am so happy one of us slowed down to take a look. I couldn't imagine our Greek trip without this stop.

If you are ready for a new kind of dining experience, eat here. You...

This is an amazing place. I felt like I was experiencing Greece as a friend of the locals.

When you walk in, you feel as if you might be in the wrong place. The exterior looks like a residence, but as soon as we came inside, they showed us into the kitchen and let us have a look at all the dinner options available. We ordered right away as we stood in the kitchen because our memories are... what was I saying?... haha

We sat in the garden area under an orange tree and a lemon tree and really enjoyed the ambiance and the friendly service. They have a collection of old wine barrels that used to hold the owners own wine, but alas, that well has run dry, still the spirit of fine things and a desire to enjoy epicurean pleasures lingers.

I highly recommend you drop in and enjoy this unique...

The reviews are spot on. It's a quaint restaurant that feels like you're at a good friend's house. We had a serving of stuffed peppers, rooster in red sauce and I lucked out with the last portion of their green beans. Whether this will be available the day you go, I don't know, but everything looked amazing and the food was so good I tucked right in and forgot to take a picture of it! Probably also cause Despina (I really hope I'm saying/spelling it right, was so incredibly engaging and lovely. We chatted away as we ate our meal and as I tried a small pitcher of their wine. Remember you don't have a menu, the chef takes you into the kitchen to show you the food made that day. It's homey and to be honest a wonderful change of pace from the hustle of the more touristy places to eat.

You'renot going to a Michelin star restaurant here- there will be no microgreens or foams on any tiny plates, and that's a great thing. Luckily for me I stumbled on this place, and even more so that the hosts speak perfect English so I'm not embarrassed again at my lack of Greek. You go into the kitchen and the chef shows you what he's cooked today and you choose. I had some delicious pork in Celery, generous serve with bread and 2 beers for about 10 euros (ridicukously great value) while we watched the local volleyball tournament together. Highly recommended you chase this out if you want simple, dleicious home style Greek Cooking. Wish I could give them 6 stars!
