Grigoris Tavern — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

We can’t say enough good things about the food and welcome we receive at Grigoris Tavern, it’s quite easily our favourite place to eat in Afitos. It’s a little out of the village away from the other restaurants, but it’s such a great find, popular with locals and visitors alike. The food is consistently great, the chips are real chips, hand cut and deep fried, my two boys are convinced they are the best, I have to agree..! The pork souvlaki is sublime, perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty, the veal steak too, the salads so fresh and the dips (tzatziki, fava and garlic salad) are just something else. If you want traditional, authentic Greek food, good sized portions and great quality, in a lovely family run restaurant where everyone is so kind and always with a smile, then this is the place. We’ve eaten there a good few times this holiday and last year too, and yes there are other good restaurants in Afitos, but Grigoris Tavern is...

After many wonderful experiences with the Greeks I thought this would be the same. I was profoundly dissapointed.

We arrived at the restaurant with two small kids and after we decided and wanted to order the waitresses just didn’t seem to be bothered. I tried three times to tell them I am ready and each time they said - someone will come, or they look somewhere else… The restaurant was not busy so some communication would have been appreciated. When in the end someone took the order they came first with the salad, then with the fish, then with the fries and only at the end with the souvlaki. The food normally is brought together so we can all eat… Not to mention that the complimentary dessert was not brought to us but we saw how they brought it to the other tables…

So no customer skills there. They really need to improve. I cannot reccomend this restaurant to anyone...

We've had the pleasure of visiting this family restaurant several times and each time we’ve been more than impressed by both the quality of the food and the exceptional service. Three young women on the service team deserve special mention for their outstanding efforts as they are always quick, cheerful and incredibly attentive. Their bright smiles add a personal touch that elevates the whole dining experience. It’s clear they take great pride in making sure every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. This restaurant is an absolute recommendation and we look forward to returning every time we’re in the area. Wishing the entire team continued success and even more satisfied customers...
