They spoke the language of the guests fluently – not just in words, but in warmth and professionalism. This is a team that clearly loves what they do! Now let’s talk food – because this is where To Steki truly becomes legendary: We started with tzatziki and homemade bread, with a golden, sun-kissed crumb and a taste that felt like it was baked under the Greek sun. The tzatziki? Creamy, garlicky, fresh – cucumber so flavorful it felt like it came from another world.🌎 The sea 🎣 bass was perfectly grilled and served with a beautiful cabbage salad, roasted tomatoes, and rich, meaty spinach leaves all drizzled in premium olive oil ☀️. It tasted like something prepared by ancient Greek chefs 👨‍🍳 for a royal feast. The grilled octopus 🐙 was smoky, tender, and unforgettable accompanied by roasted tomatoes, Kalamata olives, pickled chili peppers, sweet onions, a touch of char from cherry wood smoke, and finished with a roasted lemon. Every bite told a story one of passion, skill, and ancient culinary tradition. All of this was elevated with a beautifully chilled rosé wine, 🍷 🍷served in traditional Greek 🇬🇷 🏺carafes, straight from the sun-drenched vineyards of the gods. 🏛️ And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, they surprised us with a complimentary house dessert a syrup-soaked delight with a hint of fine chocolate and a shot of Ouzo, as a gift from the house.

The prices? Extremely reasonable about 25% less than we expected for such an incredible experience. True value for money, especially for a place that delivers this level of taste and service. The absolute worst! Honestly! If I could give it a 0 I would!

We were a group of 9.. one grandmother 85+ years old on a wheel chair. One baby under 4 months and another baby under 3.

We were delayed due to getting the kids ready and waiting for the taxi to help with my grandmother in the wheelchair.

When we arrived I provided him the name for the reservation and the host’s answer was “what time is the reservation for? 7:30 and what time is now?” He says? So you are 23 mins late? Okie now what do you expect from me? I told him if you’re being specific we are 18 mins delayed due to the taxi, babies and grandmother. “You should have called he said, I just gave your table away 3mins ago. I have so many reservations. How am I supposed to know if you weren’t going to show up”

I asked if he had any availability then or if the group should find an alternative at this point. He returns and said give me 3-4mins.. we wait.. he returns to say 4-5 mins… 25 minutes later I had stepped away to purchase something and my sister comes over to let us know that the host never found us a spot and when they decided to walk away he sasses her and said something along the lines off so your just going to leave then? When she said that he mentioned 4-5 mins and that it’s been over 20 minutes waiting .. his reply was “maybe you should have come on time then”

The first 10 minutes I actively saw him invite other tourists and people walking down the street to come in for dinner while the 9 of us just stood there.

The worst! Unless you want to experience rude entitled people who obviously must have bought...

Our visit to Taverna to Steki in Afytos, Greece, left us thoroughly disappointed. Despite being visitors from the US, we received a less-than-welcoming reception. Initially, the server, who also turned out to be the owner, was actively trying to attract customers from the street. However, once we were seated and had placed our orders, his attitude took a sharp turn for the worse.

We could easily sense his stress and agitation, but that doesn't excuse the unprofessional behavior we encountered. His rude demeanor and unnecessary mocking left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Given the unpleasant vibes, we should have left after ordering our food. Waiting for the dishes to arrive was a test of patience as it took a staggering 35 minutes.

It's understandable that restaurants can get busy and stressful, but it's no justification for treating customers poorly. As visitors to a foreign country, we had hoped for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, the negative treatment we received overshadowed any potential positives, making it an ordeal we wouldn't wish on anyone else.
