I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rementzo, a charming seaside eatery that left a lasting impression on me and my companions. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the owner, whose welcoming and friendly demeanor set the tone for a delightful dining experience.
The service was nothing short of perfect. The attentive staff ensured that our needs were promptly attended to, creating an atmosphere of comfort and ease. The highlight of the restaurant undoubtedly lies in its picturesque sea-view, which adds a touch of enchantment to the dining ambiance. The calming sound of the waves and the refreshing sea breeze provided an idyllic backdrop for a relaxing evening.
As for the food, while it was good overall, it didn't quite reach the level of extraordinary. The fish dish and pasta we ordered was well-prepared and delectable, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chef. However, there were some minor shortcomings with the meat dishes. Certain meat selections turned out to be a bit chewy, which was slightly disappointing. Similarly, the musaka, while not bad, did not quite match the standards of other similar dishes we had tasted before. Some potato in the musaka appeared to be hard, affecting the overall texture and taste.
Despite these slight culinary setbacks, the overall experience was elevated by the welcoming ambiance and warm hospitality of the owner. The beautiful sea-view, coupled with the serene setting, more than made up for any minor culinary flaws. Additionally, it is important to note that individual taste preferences can vary, and what might not have suited us perfectly could be a delightful surprise for others.
In conclusion, dining was a nice experience, largely owing to the owner's genuine warmth and friendliness. The stunning sea-view and the pleasant atmosphere created by the proximity to the sea provided a unique and memorable dining setting. The food, while good, had a few imperfections, such as some chewy meat and the musaka's potato texture. However, I believe that the restaurant's charming ambiance and the owner's exceptional hospitality make it a place worth visiting for those seeking a lovely seaside...
Read moreOur experience here was absolutely terrible, and it had nothing to do with the food, but everything to do with the service. Our waiter was beyond arrogant, making snide remarks throughout the entire meal. When one of us ordered just a starter, he openly complained about it, which was incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. He even had the nerve to make a rude comment about how our food choices were "basic" and implied that it's just a reflection of "this generation." Who talks to customers like that?
It got worse when we noticed extra items on our check that we didn't order. When we pointed it out, he said it was "on the house" but then brought the food to our table anyway, as if we wanted it! His attitude was dismissive and unapologetic, making what should have been a pleasant meal a frustrating and disappointing experience.
I am truly disappointed. This place desperately needs a lesson in customer service, starting with hiring staff who actually respect...
Read moreEven though this clearly specialises in fish and neither my wife nor I like fish we ate here anyway and we're really glad we did. We ordered a Greek salad to share as our starter and this was very good. A good portion size even for the two of us. It came with some really nice lightly toasted crispy bread. Almost full already, we then had our mains which were meatballs for me and the kebab for my wife. We shared these also and they were very good. Being a fish restaurant they did not have any house red wine to offer us so we had half a litre of their house white and this too was very good. The waiter was very helpful all through our time there. We were there from about seven in the evening till gone nine and had the place to ourselves, which is surprising given how good it was. Finally, being situated right next to the beach, we had great views along the coast of our peninsula and across the sea to the next....
