Plage Liosi — Attraction in Kassandra Municipality

The beach itself is beautiful, clear water and white sand with a large belt with shallow water suitable for children or anyone who wants to just hang around in water. There is quite large free parking space around the beach which is important as there is a long walk from Afytos if you go by foot. The facilities of the beach bar leave much to be desired especially the toilets and changing cabins. So I imagine their cleanness depends of how crowdy is the beach. The staff are very nice and almost all the time in sight, though you may wait up to 30min for food if the beach is crowded. The food and drink menu is OK but quite pricy, I guess the fact that there is no sunbeds fee can be the reason. The pricing policy requires minimum consumption of 9€ that may include coffee (7€) plus water (2€). They really need to improve on this as it's weird to have so expensive coffee. The food menu is nothing special offering tost for 5€ and the greek yogurt with fruits for 7€. The club sandwich is 10€.

The sea and the beach are great with crystal clean waters. The waiters were all nice and polite. BUT the beach bar ruins the experience - the music is too loud, nerve wrecking. The management is totally unresponsive to requests to lower the volume of the music. The speakers are right behind the sun beds and are too loud to handle any music at all. The prices are on the higher end with a 0.5l of water for 2 eur and coffee for 7 eur, although coffee comes with cheap packaged croissant and a mini waffle. Paying by credit card is another challenge as you have to walk all the way into the kitchen of the restaurant to pay for your order. Toilets leave to hope for the best. Beautiful beach - sandy, a few smooth stones and pebbles, but shallow and crystal clear! Great for relaxing, snorkelling, children etc. The beach is ‘organised’ with loungers provided by the beach bar but also has natural space. The beach bar provides a great ambiance and for only €15 per person through your first order, the lounger and umbrella are free for use for as long as you want. NB - we didn’t feel pressured by the bar staff to order immediately and could order at leisure, taking our time to place our first order and order what we wanted rather than what we felt compelled to (as mentioned in some of the other reviews).
