Unfortunately, a big disappointment after three visits. We visited this restaurant for the third time, this time bringing friends whom we had recommended the place to, based on our previous positive experiences. However, during dinner, a heavy rainstorm started, and all the guests – including us – had to move to shelter. We even took photos while the rain was falling, because it was unbelievable – the first time we've ever seen an entire restaurant abandon dinner and run from the rain.
The rain started right at the beginning of dinner – we had just sat down to enjoy some wine, and we didn’t even receive everything we ordered. Part of the food that was served ended up left in the plates, which were literally filled with rainwater. Despite that, at the end of the evening, we were handed a piece of paper with a handwritten amount of €60, without any breakdown or explanation.
Nothing made sense – how was this amount calculated, why were we charged at all when we were not fully served, and especially why no fiscal receipt was issued?
Once the rain stopped, we left the restaurant and went elsewhere to finish our dinner. Such an unprofessional and disappointing experience that we're seriously considering reporting this case to the relevant inspection...
Read moreThe place was nice and the food was okay. The waiter was just rude and simply didn't care. I tried to get help from him for allergens (celiac disease). He simply acted smugly as he knew everything already without checking too much with the kitchen or being sure about what he was saying. He told me that they would clean the grill 'we can show you how' in a superior tone. When confronted with 'okay, then show me', the guy just cowardly changed to "ah no, we use aluminum foil to avoid contamination". Just a lie. The things on the grill that I ordered clearly had marks on them. Now, I have to deal with the symptoms because of his incompetence. All of this was also unnecessary because I told him that I would sit at the restaurant only if he could assure me about the food. I could have just gone to another place and avoid clowny stuff like this.
Best moment: when paying he said "...if you have problems like this you should not eat...
Read moreWe visited Kardamo at around 7:30 PM and were seated right away. However, we’d recommend making a reservation, as a long line of people started forming shortly after. In terms of atmosphere, the place didn’t particularly stand out. One downside — although not the restaurant’s fault — was the frequent passing cars, which brought with them unpleasant exhaust fumes that slightly disrupted the experience. The food, unfortunately, did not live up to our expectations. The restaurant had been recommended as a place with some of the best traditional Greek cuisine, but the menu felt limited. The service was a bit slow, but on a positive note, we were offered a complimentary dessert, which was a nice gesture. In summary, Kardamo didn’t quite match the hype. It wasn’t bad, but given the high expectations and the many other great dining options in the area, we’d say it...
