The food was either too salty, with some spice like Maggi or Vegeta at its base, or tasteless. We ordered a bougiourdi as an appetizer. Very salty. It came with only two sad slices of tomato. For the main course, we had a fish soup, penne with shrimp, linguine with shrimp, and moussaka. The soup was hardly digestible. I could only eat a couple of spoons of the broth (almost porridge-like consistency, REALLY salty), two of the 3 small pieces of fish inside and the shrimp. I had a gritty mouthfeel afterwards. The pasta dishes were lacking in taste. Maybe they threw all the salt in the soup. And the moussaka was greasy, with a thick solidified layer of "bechamel" sauce. The sensation my friend had while attempting to eat it was close to eating pure fat. NOT TO MENTION that the waiter made a mistake with our order, bringing a plate of plain shrimp instead of shrimp penne. They made it right pretty fast. However, super bland! At the beginning, we ordered two cups of tea, as well, and we got them. In each, the tea reached half of the cup, and it was terribly bitter. We needed to add water to it and sugar to make it drinkable. The atmosphere was the only thing that was okay. Oh, and the bottled water, of course. Which we were offered at the beginning, without asking for it, "on the house", even though we paid for it in the end :) I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IN ANY WAY! Total waste of money and huge disappointment. We were not expecting this disaster when we saw...

The waiter that was older then the others, who might be the owner since he seems to handle payments was extremely unpleasant.

When he was taking our order, we ordered couple of appetisers and one main course, he seemed not to like that as he just stood there with pen and paper in his hand looking at me not saying anything.

After few awkward moments, I repeated the order again as I thought he might have not understood me, to which he said “I heard you the first time”.

So I asked what was wrong, he said there is no main dish. But since we ordered grilled octopus (plus couple of appetisers) I asked isn’t that a main dish, he replied it’s only one.

Really strange moment, especially with silent awkward staring before he said anything after we gave our order. He wasn’t much nicer after that either. Food is ok, octopus was really good, can’t really say anything negative on that part. Other younger waiters were really nice though, but that older one is the reason I cant give a...

We happened to have dinner at this restaurant because we were walking around Afytos and we urgently needed to use the toilet. The gentleman there let us use his toilet without having to buy anything from him, which impressed me. In the end, being close to dinner time, we decided to stay, which turned out to be the best decision. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the food... nor did I have time to take any, considering how good it looked and how tasty it was. The whole place was clean, the music was very soothing, the atmosphere conveyed a warmth that I haven't felt in a restaurant for a long time, and the staff was extremely attentive and hospitable. I didn't have a signal or internet there, but I didn't feel the need to touch my phone either, the time flew by while I was there. All congratulations to the gentleman and the guys there! I highly recommend it to everyone reading this review, and I hope I have at least one more opportunity in this life to cross...

The restaurant looks very nicely set out and decorated. I'm told it's no1 on Trip Advisor. When we asked for a table, there was shrugging and sighing as we didn't have a reservation. Fine, we were OK to go elsewhere. A table was found, and the reserved sign was removed, so why the fuss? I ordered chicken souvalaki, and the waiter pulled his face and shook his head! My wife ordered moussaka. The food was really good. The house wine was OK. Usual water and bread on the table, whether you want it or not. A nice small complimentary dessert to finish. We asked for coffee but were told they didn't serve it at that time, about 9 pm? When we went to pay, the waiter attempted what I think was humour. He asked if the food was good and we said yes and we had enjoyed it. He then said, " Don't lie to me because I'm really sensitive!". Strange behaviour. I heard later that he was grumpy. Personally, I think the place is a bit pretentious

We visited To Palio Rementzo for dinner around 7:00–7:30 PM. At that time, there were still a few available tables, although most were reserved. Considering how busy the town gets later in the evening, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. This place was exactly what we were looking for — a solid 10/10 experience. The food was absolutely incredible (and I’m not exaggerating — just look at the photos!). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable — attentive, fast, and friendly. We never had to wait long, and we were even offered a complimentary dessert at the end, which was a lovely touch. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and authentically Greek. It truly stood out among the places we visited during our trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dinner in the area!
