Romeo + Julie — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this place needs to address its issues.

We walked past the main street and noticed the nice music and alternative vibe which is why we decided to spend our night drinking there. It played a great variety of modern Greek songs and international hits. The menu was also creative with a good sense of humor, but that's the only 2 reasons I'm giving the place an extra star.

We ordered our first round of drinks when the place was quite busy, so we also expected things to be a bit sluggish. After our first round, the torture of trying to get the waitresses (a girl in a tight white dress) attention began. Imagine waiving and calling the waitress more than 20 times over the course of 1 hour and constantly being ignored. She would look at us, nod, say she would be with us in a while, and proceed to do everything else but take our order. This girl had no idea how to do her job, and any manager could see that. I mean I'm and understanding person, I don't like complaining, and I understand when a place is busy. But getting ignored so many times really struck a nerve. I was not the only table facing issues, we saw many people get up and leave since they were also being ignored, I wish I also had their lack of patience...

This experience basically ruined our night, I was trying to enjoy my time on vacation and then suddenly ended up on a quest to simply order another round. After an hour, and having to raise my voice to get the waitresses attention, we finally ordered another round. It was more of a matter of being headstrong at this point since we were immediately going to leave after finishing our next set of drinks. I asked for the tab and the girl came within a couple of minutes when it came to paying. My Greek friend noticed the amount she quoted was abnormally more than what we ordered. She had added another drink to our tab and also included a set of shots which she had "forgotten" to bring us.

(That would have been getting scamed around 21 euros)

Romeo, maybe you should reconsider rule #1...

WORST COCKTAILS WE’VE EVER HAD! (And we’ve had our fair share). €12 each for a glass of syrup like glue that we couldn’t even swallow! After a sip we literally couldn’t bear even attempting to drink any more. When we politely told the bar staff that we were unhappy with the drinks and we were told that we had to pay full price. ‘It’s the Greek way’. The manager was rude and aggressive and the bartenders clearly don’t know how to mix drinks. The attitude of the staff left an even worse taste in our mouths than the drinks. We would rate zero stars if it was possible as it completely ruined our night to come away being treated so vile. Find...

Romeo + Julie’s house What a spot! Owner Romeo, and his love for dogs is unprecedented. Bar was named after both his older dogs Romeo and Julie.

He now has a new “Romeo” super cute.

The bar, amazing atmosphere, great people working the bar also. Romeo is always there always having a great time with his guests.

His drinks flow like a river and his cocktail creations are unmatched.

His menu is created yearly and let’s just say it’s interesting to those who definitely don’t expect what to see on that menu. It’s hilarious.

Definitely a must try, must drink, must meet Romeo, must have a great time.
