Nice people, mediocre food, which seems to be a recurring theme on Lefkas. We are two vegetarians, so that probably has something to do with it.
For starters, we had the trio of dips (tzatziki, aubergine, and spicy cheese) and mushrooms fried with garlic. The first was very nice, the second was exactly what its name implies: a plate of fried mushrooms, nothing special.
Our mains were pasta pesto and risotto with vegetables. The pasta didn't contain any pesto, it was just oil with some garlic and some dried basil. The risotto was not made with risotto rice, but regular, long-grain rice, which didn't work at all. The vegetables were extremely al dente, to the point of being crunchy/raw. Despite these issues, it was still fairly edible. What made this experience worth three stars instead of two was the delicious white Lefkada wine I had with my meal.
All in all, a mixed bag. We won't be visiting again, and I wouldn't recommend it for...
Read moreFood: excellent tuna steak, other dishes are so-so - very bland, bunch of popular choices like ceviche and cocktail prawns that did not impress much
Cocktails downright disgusting. Aperol spritz consisting of: 50% aperol 50% water. No prosecco The photo I shared (crushed limes in a glass) depicts the absolute abomination of a drink that they serve at a steep price of 9 eur and call a daiquiri
Service is sweet but gosh they are understaffed and you feel it. When we were there the llace was full. The waitress would just throw plates on our table in a hurry without asking if we wanted another drink (and yes we wanted) or if everything tastes ok
I left for the first time in years without tipping because really that "daiquiri" made my stomach turn for the rest of the evening and I felt like no service was provided to tip for much
Bottom line: get the tuna steak, but go for drinks and desserts...
Read moreWe spent 5 nights in Lefkada, and for 3 of them, we dined at this wonderful restaurant. It's nestled in the picturesque alleys of Lefkada, where you can choose to dine at a table on the charming street in front of the restaurant or in the beautiful courtyard at the back, where dogs are welcome too.
We ordered several dishes from the seafood menu, and every single one was delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. As for drinks, we opted for their lovely house wine and a refreshing Caipiroska, both of which I highly recommend.
The restaurant is run by a small team of experienced and friendly people, with the welcoming owner, Mr. Alexis, taking charge of the cooking. It’s definitely worth a visit for the unique flavors, the warm atmosphere, and the delightful conversations with Mr. Alexis!
