LightHouse tavern — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

I'm not a fussy person but can't give more than 3 stars for this mixed experience. The restaurant has a nice garden off the crowded places - this is good. The food is average for Greek standards, serving time can be long. Prices are high, I paid the most here on the island. It feels like it didn't worth, and I'm by no means a penny pincher.

The waiters are trying their best to keep up with the workload and they are friendly to all customers. The owner is a very proud man with a controlling nature and a habit of shouting across the floor. He writes every single bill by hand in his "office" at the front, according to the information he gets from the waiters by shouting. This is a method prone to result in errors. There were several mistakes on the bills for 3 tables when I went there.

We asked for a bill firstly out of 4 tables and waited 45 minutes to get the check. This happened in 2018, surely there are better methods to keep track of the orders than asking the waiters and the customers (!) what have they eaten and pretending your brain is a computer, while clearly, it isn't... We walked to the restaurant at lunchtime to reserve a table for 2 at 9pm and was told no problem. We arrived at 8.50 just as 6 people turned up that hadn't booked and watched as our reserved table was quickly added to to accommodate them. This want going to be an issue as we were told they'd sort our table..... Until 7 people turned up right behind us and they were all over them rearranging tables for them to sit, when my wife questioned the owner he abruptly told her in a raised voice for her not to be angry. At this point we decided to walk away and went to Nautilus where they're welcoming, friendly and professional and can accommodate pre booked and walk ins. We have 3 different sets of friends coming to Lefkada this summer and we'll tell them to steer well away from here, I would not recommend this restaurant...
