Ι Scream for a fresh ice cream — Restaurant in Lixouri Municipality

If you go to Luxouri for any reason whatsoever then you must go to IScream to sample their ice cream. Allow at least 20 minutes while you decide what scoops to have and make sure that whoever you are with has different flavours so you can taste theirs too!

George Skoutelis is the owner and they continually try out new flavours. George will let you sample a flavour to see if you like it. I found it very difficult to choose as they tasted delicious. This was the second time we visited with Sarah and Jayne but Nigel and I have never been able to resist a visit when we go to Lixouri.

They do vegan ice cream that is fabulous and are working on other ice creams that will be suitable for vegans and non vegans alike.

We all decided on a tub with double scoops.

Sarah had dark chocolate and lemon which were delicious with the dark chocolate rich like a high grade bar of high coco chocolate and the lemon had just the right balance of tartness and sweetness.

Nigel had tangerine and mango and each were so fruity.

Jayne had lemon and mango.

I had strawberry and ferreo chocolate and hazelnut which were divine. There was much silence while we ate our ice creams sitting under the shade of a parasol on the square in front of the ice cream parlour, with the occasional murmurings of ahhhhhj, ohhhhhh, oh my god this is so good.

George very kindly allowed me to take a photo of him outside his ice cream parlour and also of the various ice creams available. They also do coffees and delicious biscuits and other scrumptious delights including vegan apple pie, it’s heaven.

As a side note Sarah used the WC while I was taking photographs and she said the wash room facilities were very “swanked” and we all had a discussion of how important a good clean toilet is within a restaurant or any eating place.

Nigel and I shall continue to always buy our indulgent ice creams at Iscream and you will know why we go if you make the time to try them out.

10/10 for the ice cream, for the friendliness and helpfulness of George and for the toilets !

So the original one around the corner is the best ice cream on the island - notably not only recommended by locals but also By myself having spend nearly every evening 🙃 there to enjoy another ice cream flavor.

Worth the internal dialogue about waistline and beach performance … really great ice cream, soft and creamy in texture and great flavors. Nice and friendly service and despite a small queue forming every evening they are fast in getting everybody from young to adults happy and fed … you can even chose to sit at their tables on the main square and enjoy their icecream with handmade waffles

Handsdown the best ice cream bar I have been to, run by the most wonderful people. We were in lixouri for 7 days and went here 9 times (including a mad rush just before our ferry left!).

The flavours are amazing with some truly unique options that rotate really frequently. We worked our way through the lot as a group and we didn't find a bad one there. You can taste the options, and they have vegan and non-vegan alike. Also, I cannot stress how lovely this family are when serving, truly were just fantastic people!

Thank you so much for all the ice cream, the little extra scoops of chocolate sorbet (to die for btw), and for rushing to get us 4 different double ice creams in the 2 minutes before our ferry left! Thank you -...
