Very disappointed in both the service and food. While still skimming through the menu, waiter approached twice to take my order. The 2nd time he took a hint I was not ready. When I finally closed the menu, a women server came instead and took my order. Ordered stuffed spicy peppers with feta, Village salad with Dakos, fried Calamari and a small bottle of water. Food came out all at once. Calamari over cooked and dried out, had four heads of peppers with only three peppers, as if one was missing. The salad was good and this the extra star. When asked again if I was having anything to drink, reminded the waiter of the small bottle of water. To my luck, the water was warm. Didn't even come from the fridge. I ended up clearing my plates as I was hungry and not the type to leave food to waste, but was never asked once by the wait staff how my meal was. Once done my dinner, the waiter was so busy setting up tables at 11pm that he couldn't clear the dishes from in front of me. Must have been rushing to get ready for the last hour dinner rush (yes, sarcasm). After having a second cigarette after dinner, the female wait staff came and cleared my plates and provided 3 slices of apples and 3 slices of bananas with honey. A nice touch, but not really a complimentary, after dinner treat that you will find in other restaurants around town that will usually provide you with a local sweet. I was very much looking forward to dinner at a traditional Greek restaurant, but was...

Our first night in Lixouri and we walked along the sea front restaurants and picked this restaurant from amongst many others.
We ordered a carafe of wine 🍷 (so far, so good), however, unfortunately they didn’t have either of our first choice starters or main courses, nor our second choice starters and main courses.
Their reason from the waiter “it’s the end of the season” (it’s only mid September?) and not a situation we experienced at any other restaurant on our holiday.
It started a conversation about what do you have? TBF we should have moved onto another restaurant but we had started the wine so felt obliged to stay (we couldn’t really take the carafe with us!)
Starters were forgettable.
Mains were Stifado for me (which was nothing special and I’ve had a lot better elsewhere) and an aubergine dish for my wife which wasn’t good in terms of texture and presentation which she didn’t eat (the restaurant owner took it off our bill).
So unfortunately our advice is to avoid this restaurant - there are many better in Lixouri including Alvi and Tsibibo (especially on Monday...
Read moreWe went here twice as they fried chicken was so nice , was lovely sitting near the sea, wind was warm, had a lovely time, my husband had the bream first and lamb chops second , he loved both, I had the fried chicken twice as it was so nice , my friends had chicken and lamb chops, the only downfall was the service, we had to wait a long time , but I think there was not enough staff , the second time we went there was the same. Took a long time for them to take order and got served our food, but it was very busy, so I did not mind waiting as their fried chicken is the best, the other thing I really did not like was the waitress could hardly speak english, that didn’t matter but she was speaking Greek to the people sitting next to us, they were locals, and we knew they said something about us and were all laughing and looking at us, did not like that service , but the gentleman who served us was so nice, he was run off his feet, service by him was brilliant , the second photo us if a mixed plate, we asked for pork and jamb chops, plate for two people £25, was...
