Archontariki Taberna — Restaurant in Meteora Municipality

Value for money, yummy food and great service!

Very nice and thoughtful service. Boss brought us water without being requested (this is the first restaurant in Greece that I have been served water. We had to purchase for the other restaurants we had visited in the last four days).

We were exhausted and hot after the tour and requested for a lot of ice and we were given ALOT of ice (most local restaurants are quite restrictive in providing ice).

One of our traveling member has some dietary restrictions and the lady wait -person was patient and helpful to guide us through the menu.

We had three simple dishes as we have a train to catch and all three dishes were all delicious . We ordered Spaghetti with meat, Moussaka, and chicken with potatoes. They were all very flavorful, yummy and not expensive at all.

First day in Kalambaka and lucky we found Archontariki in the city center. We had a warm welcome, efficient service and no one pressing you to order. The ambiance was cosy in the evening, we ate very well and recommend the Greek Yogurt with honey and walnuts. The grilled pork was absolutely delicious too! (it comes with potatoes but I asked for rice instead, it was no pb at all) Prices are reasonable (at least so think the tourists from the US and EU) and portions are good. We had wine, starter to share, two mains and shared one dessert, the average was less than 40e for two. And we had two free ice creams, what more to make you smile? I had the most amazing evening at Archintariki! It is right on one of the busy central squares in Nafplio with a cozy terrace and a great view of the stars. I enjoyed a slow dinner with great service (attentive, but they did not rush us) under the full moon! The food was incredible! Highly recommend the chicken soup. We sat for a while and as people started to leave the waitress Αντιγόνη (Antigone), brought us free ice cream and a map and showed us all of her favorite places to go!
