Based on the recommendations, we went to this place to buy a pizza. I can't say I was overly impressed by the look of the place on first glance through the window but my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the guy who rolls out the pizzas and who was sweating (granted it was very hot), take a cloth and wipe the sweat of his face, arms and hands and then using the same cloth, wipe down the area where he rolled out the pizzas. If you ever wondered where that salty base taste comes from, now you know. Joking aside, a person with that low level of hygiene has no place in a kitchen. This was a small local dive, with just one table, and we loved it. The pizza was of course that weird Greek pizza with cheese that reminds me of fondue, but totally delicious anyway, perfect dough. It made me think of a neighborhood place in New York: cheesy decorations, TV on, guy taking orders, a sort of Super Mario type taking good care of us, making sure we have whatever we need. Visiting Greece for 2 weeks. Have spent almost an entire week in Aegina.

This pizza place is right next door to where we are staying. Walking by it, the pizza smells so fresh and tasty so had to try it.

Very happy with my decision!!

Fresh, hot, cooked perfectly.

The owner was even nice enough to stop us on our way home just to give us a free bottle of coke.
