‼️Disturbing animal abuse – not acceptable⚠️

There is a parrot kept outside Delmar Snack Bar in a tiny, filthy cage. The bird looks sick, exhausted, and completely neglected. The floor of the cage is covered in dirt and waste and barely any space to move. It’s heartbreaking.

This is not a pet – it’s a living creature being used as a tourist attraction, and it’s clearly suffering. The cage is far too small for a parrot, and the conditions are completely unacceptable. This is animal cruelty.

I’m shocked that this is allowed to continue.

'Del Mar' is without a doubt the most beautiful setting you will find in the whole of Crete for a coffee, ice cream, cocktail, crêpe or whatever you might fancy! It is a small, family-run, totally unpretentious cocktail and snack bar, located so close to the waterfront that you can practically dip your toes into the sea whilst eating your breakfast or sipping on a traditional Greek frappé. The family who run this café are absolutely lovely and take huge pride in what they do. I have to particularly recommend their crêpes...sweet or savoury...they...

Always a must place to visit when in Elounda. Family run snack bar by Popi Harris and sons Nicolas & Alex. A warm welcome awaits and the Greek hospitality is second to none.
