Gialos — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

Nicely located, the restaurant/bar is beachfront offering lovely views to the Plakias Bay and mountains. We went there to have drinks and watch the opening of UEFA Euro 2024, the restaurant was full and the mood of the diners were perfect. The second night, we had dinner and watched two Euro 2024 matches. We had the Greek Salad and a pizza and drinks. Nothing special but the staff and atmosphere were perfect. The third time we watched Belgium vs. Slovakia, we had a pizza and the Chef's salad - it was ordinary but again the atmosphere and the staff...

Great view on Plakias bay, great location. We had breakfast here and it was close to the worst we had in Crete. I ordered the Greek bkf that looked very nice but I was extremely disappointing : 2 eggs a slice of ham and a slice of Gouda .... yogurt excellent but honey out of the individual portion like jam... last but not least the orange juice was the smaller I had in 2 weeks. On top of this the server was not really kind and did not smile at all... There are many other places in the area to not come here...

A nice spot, with comfortable chairs and a nice view on the sea. Smoothies are very tasty, the tuna salad however was pretty basic with a lot of mayonaise on top of it. It was served along with bread. When we asked for the bill, we didn’t get any specifications, just the amount, which was higher than it should be. Probably they charge an additional amount for the bread that was served with the salad, but that was not mentioned...
