Sifis — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

Honestly the worst food we had during our two weeks in Crete. As a started we had mussels, they were literally still frozen on the plate. Our main dish was a mixed grill. The lamb chops barely had any meat on the bone, the chicken was cooked dead and the gyros was the most salty. We decided to leave without finishing. We politely asked for the bill without complaining about the food, but of course the waiter noticed that we had not finished anything, so he got us the owner. We told the owner we did not enjoy the food but would just pay and leave. He asked what we did not like but tried to start a discussion when we mentioned what we thought was wrong with the food. After a week in Crete with excellent food and warm Greek hospitality, our visit to Sifis today was a huge disappointment. The restaurant wasn't busy at lunch time but apart from taking our order we were ignored. The staff were busy talking to a couple one one table. The food was okay, nothing special. We didn't get a smile out of either of them let alone any conversation. They didn't even ask if our meal was okay. We asked for the bill, left the exact money on the table and left. One of the waiter every time he walks pass, he hits the back my chair with his big body. He didn't walk carefully like the others. Seafood risotto isn't made with risotto, it was just rice and black rice, and they gave only 2 medium size frozen shrimp and 2 tiny ones, 4 pieces of mussels. I didn't taste any garlic on the garlic bread either.And the meat was still raw, at the end the boss gave us a new one. But I will not recommend to go here .
