After reading the opinions we decided to visit this restaurant. We honestly don’t understand all the 5 stars. Ok, the owners are very nice and you definitely feel welcomed. However the food is average. We tried the octopus, which supposed to be grilled however the owner said that he doesn’t grill it, as he has its own way of preparing it. So it wasn’t grilled but still nothing special. The pasta with shrimps had a few really nice shrimps, but the rest was just a huge bowl of overcooked pasta with a passata. An excellent choice of food, of original Cretan recipes but with a modern twist.. Fantastic flavours and their offerings are different from the other "sameness of the tourist food' offered by the other tavernas in the village. If you are a "foodie" this is the taverna to visit.
