I have never encountered such miniscule portions of food at a restauraunt. I kept wondering if someone was playing a joke on us and perhaps there was a Candid Camera hidden somewhere. The shrimp main dish we ordered was composed of four small shrimps, sauce, and a couple of cherry tomatoes. We were four people so one shrimp each. We left just as hungry as we arrived. Very disappointed. As far as I remember the shrimps were not under an appetizer section. They were under the SEAFOOD section. So we were understandably expecting a main dish. Nonetheless, even Appetizers are more plentiful in quantity as they are dishes that are meant to be shared. The same goes for the Kalamari. It was under the SEAFOOD section. Anywhere else in Greece you receive a full plate of Kalamari when you order it. We were served one squid which was cut into seven thin slices. So I had one and a half slices of squid. The problem was not the food, I enjoyed the taste. The quantity was the problem. The portions were truly very small and not filling. The price did not indicate appetizers or such...
Read moreI don't like giving poor reviews, but after 11 wonderful days in Crete the meal we had was far and away the worst. Add to that indifferent service, and all customers looking quite fed up I felt I needed to give an accurate review. Starter, fried calamari was a large plate with perhaps a quarter of it used to house 9 sorry looking pieces of tough calamari in soggy batter. Main was supposed to be a Cretan carbonara, pasta so raw I gave you trying. Waiter asked if we enjoyed our food, I said no it was awful, he just shrugged, said they had staffing issues but showed no interest in our concerns. That's the problem with places like this, they hoover up tourists and don't really care if they don't come back. A real shame. Footnote, I note with sadness that all the poor reviews have a vitriolic and quite nasty response from the owners, which I guess helps others reading to realise that they are much as described in the...
Read moreThe food was nice but not worth the wait.
We wanted to lunch at this restaurant, we were kindly welcomed and the tables looked nice and clean. They had a Dutch menu for us, which surprised us positively. Our drink arrived pretty fast, our food did not. We have waited at least an hour for our food and when we did get our food, it did not come at the same time. 3 of us had their dish while one had to wait for about 5 minutes. While we waited we weren't offered anything besides bread, which also took a while to get to our table. Of course we understand it was quite busy at the moment, but first of all the food was not served in order. Tables who arrived later, got served sooner. Secondly, the staff seemed busier cleaning tables and pulling new guests then serving their waiting costumers.
A tip for the restaurant: be more honest to your costumers and tell them when the place is to full.
Overall the food and...
