Cafe Platia — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

It started friendly but it went to a terrible experience when we asked for the bill and we tried to paid by card .. we drank 2 drinks only , and it was 7,5 euro, the waiter told thats a cash only place(we saw the paypass terminal on the desk.. ) and he told the bank charges him 2 euro after every transaction .. we had no money so we had to find an atm ,which charges us for a withdrawal like 4-5 euro .. so after all we dealed with the guy to pay by card but we paid more then the bill to compansate their extra bank transfer money :D it was a never go back experience .. and a red...

The owner is very rude.I sat and ordered coffee at 19:55, at the named 'cafe Platia', which at least it is supposed to serve coffee. The waiter politely informed me that at the so called cafe, coffee isn't served in the evening. Meanwhile my wife and daughters visited the restroom. When they got back, I stood up to leave the cafe, when the furious boss attacked us demanding 0.5 € for the use of the restroom. I tossed 2 € coin and surprisingly the poor boss almost broke his spine to crawl down on the pavement to collect the rolling coin. Very pathetic!... And no receipt for...

Gunther is really nice and his raki really is the best! The stefado was really tasty. Food overall is much better than typical bar food, especially food from their roots. The cigarette smoke was not so bad when we arrived, but then 6 more people lit up and in such a small space inside and no ventilation it got so bad. Even my husband who does not have asthma like me was choking on it. We’d gotten used to it being in Greece, but it was too much for us. Sad we could not stay longer or go back.
