Tasomanolis — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

This is a great restaurant which has a story to tell and serves up not only lovely food, but also a welcoming atmosphere. It's the only place in Plakias where we learned the names of every member of the staff before the end of our first dinner there. Aside from the sea food served here, which we highly recommend, the service is exceptionally friendly.

From this restaurant, we also booked a fishing trip with Captain Tasos, whose fish is served there every day, on the fishing boat with the restaurant's name. That was one of the high points of our stay in Plakias and a great activity for even novice fishermen like us. fantastic food with loads of vegetarian options as well. the best place in town for wine (both local and some foreign)! drop by to reserve a table in front of the windows -for the best seats in town, but there is (usually) a table for you available! the roof and windows can open and do on clear warm evenings. the staff is fabulous and in typical local fashion very willing and capable to help with any questions. the atmosphere is matched by the quality and selection of food. 10/10...

We've been to several fish restaurants on the island as we live here. This was far and away the best cooked fish we've had. We ordered the 'mixed grilled fish for 2' option (€29) and it was a sea bream, a sea bass and four sardines, with salad and flavoured rice. All were lovely and perfectly cooked, not overdone as in so many places. Excellent wine too and the traditional complimentary sweet and raki rounded off a superb meal. We'll be back next time we...
