This was an absolutely terrible experience and very poor customer service. We were a group of four adults and three young children (Greeks/British). We were kept waiting for over an hour with no response or an update from the waiting staff despite our numerous polite requests or our ongoing patience. Other tables were also kept waiting so we thought they were short of staff, or had a small kitchen, etc. However, this was not the case; there were four other tables (per table had 5-6 persons) who had sat and ordered well after us who were served their food (a mixture of pasta, seafood, etc) first after they had waited for almost 40 mins themselves. The restaurant staff did not have the decency to manage our expectations. They were clearly avoiding us as they were visibly embarrassed. Indeed, despite the owner himself finally admitting that we were right and attempted to blame the fact that we had ordered pizzas (this was only for three of the seven people in our group) and so forth, we were forced to leave without eating after receiving a burnt pita bread (70 mins wait at this point) which the owner insisted was a pizza. The owner didn’t even offer to provide us with a compensation or to fix the situation. We had no other choice but to leave and mutually agreed not to pay. I would not even give them a star but have no choice unfortunately. Other tables left after us. Definitely not recommended and not...
Read morePopped in for a meal as it is a gorgeous area and not many places had much choice of a vegetarian meal. We ordered a coke, beer, margarita pizza, garlic bread and chicken skewers.
45 minutes later I recieved my pizza and garlic bread, which was cold. 10 minutes later my parters chicken arrived, which was lovely and hot. His food was gorgeous, my pizza was tasteless but the garlic bread was to die for. All of this came to only €26 which is brilliant and we both got a couple of free shots each at the end. It is a family run business with home cooked food and the...
Read moreWe ate here three times during our week in Georgioupoli and were never disappointed with the food. Yes, the service here may be a little slower than at other restaurants, but that is because this is Greek 'slow food'; all freshly cooked to order in a small family establishment. The atmosphere here is comfortable, calm and relaxed compared to the other eateries in this same square, the food isn't over priced and the staff are lovely. They were also happy when a friend brought her little dog along, so that was...
