Castro Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Astypalaia

Nice place, OK drinks, prices at an anticipated level. Two stars because they persistently avoid to issue tax receipts and they behaved almost rudely when asked to do so.We know there is a law in GR that gives you the right not to pay if a receipt is not issued. In my opinion, when a bar does not issue receipts it may mean: they evade tax, they buy without invoices and/or drinks are not legitimate, or any combination of the above. We visited Astypalea early June and tried three of the cocktail bars in the Chora. Castro was, by far, our favourite. The cocktails were delicious and unusual- the Paloma with chilli and passion fruit was incredible- highly recommend it. The location at the top of the hill is stunning and well worth the walk.
