I had the traditional Sofrito plate (veal cooked in wine sauce, garlic and white pepper) and it just simply tasted delicious, very tender. Afterward I had another local dish, a desert called galaktoboureko(?) or milk pie, a pastry cream with semolina, cinnamon and lemon, wrapped in filo dough. The whole cake is covered with syrup. Together with a glass of local white wine I paid only 19.50 euros. The bill came with a glass of a traditional Corfu Kumquat liquor. It was all well worth it. What a great place! They serve the best coffee I have had in Corfu and I understand the food is as good.
