Just got home early hours of this morning after staying at the Spiros apartments for 2 weeks. We have had many holidays in the past, but this holiday has to be the best by far. ||The Hospitality is amazing, which is what made the experience so special. Rooms are very clean (cleaned daily) and are more than adequate for your needs. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment on the ground floor close to the pool. we had a bath with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 twin bedrooms and for a small cost we opted for the air con in the room we used, which was lovely of an evening to get some much needed cool air.||||On first impressions we were very pleased with the destination we had chosen and over the following days we knew that this would be a place we would return time & time again. ||||This was my first holiday since becoming recently disabled (unable to walk) and I had many reservations whether I would be able to deal with or even enjoy my holiday due to being so restricted, I didn't need to worry. On arrival Leah was extremely helpful, helping my partner into our room with all of our luggage, me and my wheelchair, she instantly realised that an upstairs apartment would of been difficult for me to access so ensured I was on the ground floor. ||||The supermarkets are nearby but being on crutches is a bit of a trek and difficult carrying things back to the complex, Leah offered to take us to the supermarkets and arranged to meet us in the bar area, Leah even helped get the shopping back to our room I can not begin to express how grateful we was for leah to do that, It's a pity the same hospitality is not shown here in the UK! ||||Every body works so hard here, ensuring that your holiday is perfect for you, Leah & George (the owners) should be really proud of the establishment they run, they are extremely friendly and very helpful, Nikki (victoria) (who works behind the bar) is very funny, very friendly. All of them had fantastic customer service skills, and the hospitality was amazing. ||||Due to my disability we weren't able to go very far as I needed to be close to my medication, saying that we didn't need to venture far as the bar made some lovely meals, and the entertainment was really good so we never felt bored. ||||I cannot fault this place at all, if I had to name one fault then it would be the mattresses, they took a little getting used to, but then that's the case with any new bed, so it really isn't much of a complaint! My only regret is that we had to come home, I am now sat looking on the Thompson site about to book to the same place for next year.||||Leah, George, Nikki, Nellie & Ria thank you so much for making this holiday so memorable, we will see you...

Read moreHere 21st - 28th July 2016 unfortunatley positives the views are stunning and if you like quiet and stoneage basic this is the place for you. Hope ur ready for the negatives apartments basic and falling apart you are advised if you break any of the medieval furniture you pay for it. Self catering apartments all tou have is a kettle an two hobs a fridge again from the medieval time if your transfer is by coach you have a 10 min walk up a cardiac hill with all your luggage. We arrived 21st July at around 22.30 we had to knock on a door af a villa eventually someone answered and gave the impression we wasnt expected after a brief explanation as the lady spoke broken english a man came out and took us to two apartments he to couldn't speak english. The morning after we headed on foot to the nearest town which was a 15 - 20 min walk and there are no footpaths so you have to dodge the traffick on the way. We hired a car which was the best thing we could have done however if not budgeted for it will eat into your pockets quite hard orices are £40-£70 euros per day pending the size of the car you want we bartered a good deal for an Astra convertible as there was four adults in our party for £50 euros a day. Once in benitses the bars an resteraunts are quite good and fairly priced Alex an Tonys do great steaks mousaka and fish dishes we ate there often great family resteraunt with excellent service. Up the hill slightly from us was a pool with a small bar run by a lovely lady called alison she kindly allowed us to use the facilities during our stay which came in paticulary handy on our last day as we had a 6 hour wait until our pickup for the airport. Alison has her own apartmwnts called the Rising Sun and they looked far better than ours. I spoke to a couple staying there later on at the airport and they confirmed great apartments and cleaned every day. Our apartments were cleaned every three days ie bin in toilet emptied and change of hand towels as no bath towels provided. Our electric went off one night and the man who couldnt speak english asked us to not us the shower which was a hand held shower no hook to place shower head. And he had switched the hob and fridge off? On our last day we were asked to vacate at 10.00am and we could leave our cases at the back door of the villa down the hill? I could go on for hours to summerise would not go back to these apartments however would try the Rising Sun on trip adviser it shows different apartments and a pool and some of the reviews are as if in another hotel thats why we chose maybe there is another Spiros Apartments however if you stay at the one in benitses beware. Hope this helps Benitses an Corfu itself...
