If you like rude staff, mediocre food and dirty pigeons, then oh my! This is the place for you. My partner and I entered with the foolish impression that because it looked like it was a bit busy and had a cool decorated interior, that people were happy with the place. We were idiots to think like that, and we have no shame in admitting that. We went in sat down, someone came over and gave us a bottle of water and we asked for a menu, good first impressions. However, it took forever for someone to come over, give us a menu (to which we had to ask again after 10 mins) and then take our order so we just thought that we had to order at the counter. That was no problem, we were just a bit unsure. I go up to the counter and one of the baristas gave me the blankest face I’ve ever seen, almost as if this was the first time they were seeing a human. One of the waiters called for my attention next to me and I gave him our order, immediately afterwards busying himself with something else. That again is absolutely fine, I’ve worked in hospitality before and understand what it can be like during a little rush, but again I was a bit confused because he didn’t ask me what table I was at or anything, so didn’t know if our order would be taken to the right table. I went and sat down again. It took about 20 mins for our 2 iced lattes to turn up, during which this wait time we had multiple different orders from other tables offered to us by the waiters. Again, after what felt like an eternity, our food turned up. 2 chicken burgers and chips, seems like a safe choice to go for. The chicken in the burger was only just cooked through but still rather pink. The chips looked like they had come from service stations chippy shop, floppy and soggy from heat and grease. Some may like that but we didn’t, but again understand that it’s a subjective opinion. The attitude from the staff made us feel as though we had to apologise for even daring to ask them to do their jobs as they made little grunts or quiet yes’s as we quickly tried to blurt out a question as they continued walking past us. Whilst miserably eating our food , a pigeon walked in. Whilst rather cute and amusing, after a while the realisation that it was quite gross set in. It was also quite gross watching the staff seeing the pigeon and deciding to just ignore it. We decided to leave the rest of our food and ask for the bill, to which we got a passing grunt from one waiter as he decided to go stand outside, do nothing, cross the road and not be seen for the next 10 mins. So we asked a female waitress, and credit due where credit earned, actually went and grabbed the card machine straight away. Apart from that,...
Read moreTerrible service, I went to lunch yesterday. I've been coming to Habit every week for 4 years now. But the waiter surprised me with her attitude yesterday. I ordered (Red Rum) juice, and the waiter handed it to me via 2 tables. She did put me in my table. Although it was possible to come up to the table and put a glass on the table. I sitting at the table and took a glass, and of coz the juice spilled on the table and on the floor. I went to wash my hands of juice. I came in and there were just napkins on my table. On my table was juise everywhere around and she leave me just napkins. The waitress didn't wipe the table, she just threw the napkins on my table. So I cleaned the table myself. Although I believe that the waitress should have put the juice on my table instead of pulling it across two tables. If the juice spilled on the table and the floor, I expected the floor to be cleaned. But no! The floor was covered in spilled juice for about 1.5 hours, and I had to clean the table myself. Next, I waited for 40-50 minutes for my order to be ready, and I asked the waitress to check if my order was ready. The waitress, with a displeased expression, went up to the kitchen and brought me the remaining, already cold, dishes. After placing them on my table (thank you for that), she threw away two chairs that were nearby. I then waited for another 40 minutes for the bill, while dealing with the mess and spilled juice on the floor. When I didn't receive the bill, I...
