Ionian City — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

First up, the bed is like a sheet of plywood.

It's rock solid and only one pillow each. I had a rubbish night's sleep and I normally sleep like a log.

Honestly it is that bad. I sleep in hotels a lot for work, like twice a week, and I can say this bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever had.

You've been warned. In fact, you'll come back to this review after staying here and say "you were right Payney!"

This place is brilliant location wise. The rooms on first glance are good. Bit small but fine. For one night. Don't do a week here. Entrance not the most welcoming but once you're in it's fine.

Vending machine doesnt work for the selection of the row of water which was slightly annoying too.

The good bits are that the air conditioning works, its clean, its modern, its in a fantastic location.

If they sorted the bed and pillows out, I'd go 4 star, maybe 5, as its clean, tidy and good location. Price was ok, like £140, but for that money it would be nice to get a bit of sleep.

Not a good exeprience for me. I wanted something in the centre close to the airport as I had the flight next day. But i had some problems 99€ as I paid with my girfriend for 1 night (booking) for a very small room. I felt just like in a box. the walls are very strange because you hear ANYTHING! I didn't get a good sleep as I heard anything thas was talking around me the tv is only for decoration I guess. I didn't have any cable on it and the shower had cold water in the morning there is no reception, you have to talk anything via phone and you have no place to let your bags safety the personal is a little bit rude and in the morning the maid was making a lot of noise outside

The place is quite modern in design and the room is nice enough; though incredibly small, it's fine for the price.

What is unbearable is the fact that there is a washing machine and dryer right outside the rooms that people were using in the middle of the night, at 3am. They are loud and the walls are paper thin, there's no chance of sleeping through it. I had to come out to stop someone trying to put another wash on at 3am. A washing machine seems like a great convenience, however it relies on people being considerate, which they are not.

Finally, the air con didn't work. It just doesn't provide what you need from a hotel - a night's sleep.

Probably to be avoided, unless you have no other choice due...
