How people can think this warrants 5 stars is beyond me.
Service is mediocre at best, you feel ignored as a diner, and if first impressions are anything to go by, the stained, sad, outdated and scribbled-through menu doesn't help.
Food is... Okay? The best thing was the tirimasu which was light and genuinely tasty (the only reason I didn't give it 1 star). Mains were as unremarkable as both the service and the shabby interior. I think they have the motto 'more is better', because there's genuinely a lot of it, and it's just as bad as if there was a small portion. But at least you don't go hungry.
Biggest gripe is payment. If they said upon entry, no card, I'm really sorry but the connection is awful. I'd understand. But a scrawny, shabby note shoved by the illegible hand written bill, coupled with the waiters inability to say why is pretty disappointing.

Starters and antipasti were top-notch. The pizza isn’t Neapolitan, it’s Roman-style: thin, crispy, and full of flavor. Really well done.
But the real star? The pasta. Had the carbonara. Original old-school full of flavours. Hands down the best on Corfu. World-class.

Read moreOur absolut favorite place in Corfu and we toured the whole island in a month, backpacking. Fantastic service, I feel like the ladies literally became my grandparents in those 7 days we stayed. They brought down to the beach all our foods and drinks, the sunbeds are free to use. The water is crystal clear, swim with fishes, check crabs and sea snails on the rocks, go snorkeling, then sit on the sunbeds, order a drink and taste the best Italian pizza, pasta dishes or have the best coffee ever. We traveled with 2 kids under 5 and they were so absolutely adored, we had such a relaxing time, this place was literally the only one where the kids ate well and managed to take a nap on the sunbeds. I'm missing...
