Skyview || All Day Place — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

My recent experience at Skyview Restaurant in Corfu left me with mixed feelings, as the stunning views were unfortunately overshadowed by a significant and persistent noise issue. If you're seeking a relaxing dining experience, this may not be the ideal choice, as the constant noise from the nearby runway can be quite unbearable.

On a positive note, the restaurant's location atop a hill did offer breath-taking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the glistening sea. The ambiance was pleasant, especially during sunset when the colours painted the sky in a mesmerizing display.

The restaurant's décor was tasteful and contemporary, creating an inviting atmosphere. The staff were polite and attentive, ensuring that guests were taken care of promptly.

However, despite these positive aspects, the overwhelming noise from the adjacent runway significantly impacted the overall experience. The proximity of the restaurant to the airport meant that the sound of jet engines roaring during take-offs and landings was a constant presence. This not only disrupted conversations but also made it difficult to enjoy the peaceful surroundings that one might expect at a place called "Skyview."

While the restaurant's management may not have control over the airport's activities, they could have taken measures to mitigate the noise impact, such as installing sound barriers or creating designated quiet zones. Unfortunately, this crucial aspect was overlooked, leaving many diners feeling disappointed and unable to fully enjoy their meal.

Additionally, the menu, while offering a variety of dishes, lacked the exceptional culinary experience one would hope for in such a picturesque setting. The food was decent but failed to stand out, leaving me with the impression that the emphasis was placed more on the view than on the...

We visited Skyview every night of our holiday—and for good reason. The food was incredible—full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The cocktails were also amazing—some of the best we’ve had anywhere! Each evening felt like a treat, and the welcoming atmosphere made it a real highlight of our trip.

The staff were lovely, attentive, and always made sure we had a great experience. We really appreciated having a reserved seating area, which made our dinners feel even more special.

The only small downside—and the reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5—is that on one of our visits, the table directly behind us had guests smoking quite heavily. Unfortunately, it made me feel a bit unwell while eating, which was disappointing, especially since we had requested a reserved space where we hoped to enjoy our meal without cigarette smoke.

It would be wonderful if Skyview could consider a designated smoking area, away from the dining tables—especially the reserved seating. I know many guests who don’t smoke would really appreciate being able to fully enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere without discomfort.

Staying nearby and fell in love with the atmosphere at first.

Arrived late to our hotel and decided on here for a meal, The waiter was helpful and recommended Greek dishes to try and it was amazing!

A few nights later on Friday evening we chose to come back for my partners birthday meal, A big disappointment and flop on the restaurants behalf… I ordered the fish sharing platter and my partner the 300g steak.. The waiter comes back out of stock! So she decided on the boa bun burger. The waiter delivered my meal.. Then comes back and tells her the boa bun is also gone!! She desperately searches the menu and chose a cheese burger.. 40 minutes later I finish my meal and her burger arrives. Ruined her birthday meal and her birthday mood, Waiter was aware it was her birthday and apologised wishing her a great evening. The waiter was lovely and could tell it wasn’t he’s error a tip was left. But highly disappointed not even the side of fries were given as an apology even with the pile of 4 voided receipts that were handed when paying. Really upsetting how much it ruined a well looked forward to celebration meal. We decided not to return again and was a spot we were planning to...
