CJ Beach — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Overall nice beachfront. Majority of staff are super friendly. We've come here twice to just buy some cocktails and use the loungers by the beach and the staff at the beach bar confirmed that the loungers are for customers only with a minimum order of €10. We happily bought drinks directly from the beach bar and took them to the beach and the cocktails were delicious.

The only issue came when a different member of staff asked if we would like some more drinks (approximately 30 minutes later after we had finished the first drinks and had cleaned them down). I believe she was trying to tell us that the beach is for customers only and didn't believe us when we tried to explain that we were paying customers (despite dozens of others who also weren't ordering anything and had brought their own drinks).

The lady eventually told us that she will let us off this time, but I don't like the feeling of having to justify that we were customers when the beach was half empty (so others weren't waiting for spaces). Either there needs to be better communication between staff members or mandate a certain rule of drinks per time stayed; perhaps a wristband to show you're a customer because we...

Actually I needed to give 0 stars. The only reason I give 2 is for the guy in the bar that is really friendly and makes amazing cocktails. I guess the best mai tai I had in the island. The service upstairs is alright. The woman that works in the beach deserves 0 stars. Even 0 stars is too much for her. She cake with the attitude when I wanted to pay for the sunbeds and place an order. She was ironic and rude. Then she asked me where I'm coming from and she said oh you should be 40 like me. What is she talking about? I'm a 28 year old girl, fit and she dares to call me 40 years. She is on duty. She works in that place and I pay for the things I order. I respect and she should respect me too. If this thing was true I wouldn't get so upset. But this is mean. People like her should stay home or in the back. I always treat people with respect but what happened today is a joke. This woman is a joke. So guys AVOID that place. Great location, one set of sunbeds are 15euro first row and 10 on the rest of the rows. The waiter is super ok(blonde guy), but the lady(brunette with the hat) that charges your for the consumption looks lost in space, asking 2 or 3 times if we paid for the sunbeds. I think she even got some people out of the water to come and pay her. Also, they don't ask you if you want to add tips, they just charge you 10% every time you order something.
