Ninemia Beach Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

It's our first time staying in the hotel as we normally show up with a group and rent a villa. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room can easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. There's a small kitchen with coffee maker, pots and pans, etc. Lovely staff that will take care of your every need as well as keep the rooms and grounds totally spotless and clean. Every room is steps away from a beautiful pool and the beautiful beach. Coincidentally this hotel is located next door to Sebastians restaurant which I've previously reviewed and provides room service to the hotel if you wish. And did I mention parking? Pro: Top Lage, die gesamte Anlage ist sauber und wird gepflegt. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön. Die Liegen am Strand sind top. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Contra: das Zimmer hat nicht vollständig den Fotos entsprochen. Es war nicht renoviert. Unser Badezimmer war sehr alt und klein. Auch die Küchenzeile war veraltet. Das Studio hatte weiße Fließen. Ich habe ein Standard Studio gebucht, was etwas günstiger war. Vielleicht kriegt man bei dieser Kategorie (statt Standard-Studio mit Poolblick) ein altes Zimmer. Aber wieso wird das bei der Buchung nicht transparent gemacht und stattdessen mit falschen Fotos geworben?! Ich fand es deshalb enttäuschend.

Auch der Ablauf des Frühstücks war bei der Buchung nicht transparent! Es gibt kein Buffet. Das Hotel hat wohl eine Kooperation mit dem Strandlokal „Sebastians“, das erst ab 09Uhr öffnet! Frühaufsteher frühstücken also sehr spät, denn es kann dann schon eine halbe Stunde dauern bis das Frühstück serviert wird (das ist außerdem blöd, wenn man einen Tagesausflug geplant hat!). Man kann dort aus der Karte zwischen 2 Frühstücksgerichten wählen. Das „Cretan Frühstück“ war gut. Das „English Frühstück“ war viel zu wenig! Jeden Tag gibt es also das gleiche Frühstück, keine Abwechslung, was bei längeren Aufenthalten ein Manko ist. Es wird außerdem nur Filterkaffee serviert, außer man möchte mehr zahlen.

Beim Check-In haben wir nur den Schlüssel bekommen und haben sonst keine Informationen zu Zeiten oder der Umgebung erhalten. Das fanden wir komisch.

Hätten wir das mit dem alten Zimmer und dem späten gleichen Frühstück gewusst, hätten wir ein anderes Hotel gebucht. Bitte macht solche Dinge für Gäste transparent, da die Enttäuschung sonst zu einer schlechteren...

Great clean apartment with a short distance to the beach, bus, restaurants and room service. The kitchenette has everything you need and a fridge with freezer compartment.

We cannot thank a female employee enough. She was very helpful when one of us was unlucky and injured us late at night. She followed us up with first aid equipment, good advice and checked on us several times a week to make sure everything was fine. So did the rest of the staff, which we really appreciated.
